Undefeated 6A Programs With State Titles Hopes

<p><strong>Gainesville Red Elephants</strong></p>

<p>After an outstanding 2022 season where they reached the state championship, the Red Elephants have quickly become one of the top programs in North Georgia and are off to another outstanding start in 2023. The powerful Red Elephants are loaded with D1 talent and have led on running back [player_tooltip player_id='262995' first='Gavin' last='Hall'] a good bit this season. They are sitting at 6-0 and 2-0 in region play with wins over Marist, Mountain View, Coconut Creek, Clarke Central, Lanier, and Apalachee. Unless they fall apart the rest of the way, the Red Elephants should cruise to the 7A Region 8 title this year.</p>

<p><strong>Douglas County Tigers</strong></p>

<p>One of the more talented teams west of Atlanta, the Tigers have proven this year they have the ability to win close games as well as blow teams out. Currently at 6-0 and 3-0 in region play, the Tigers have plenty of young talent and a quarterback in Sire Hardaway who has thrown for just under 1,600 yards and 14 touchdowns compared to just two INTs. They have wins over Stockbridge, Mays, McEachern, Alexander, Langston Hughes, and New Manchester. They're playing great football right now and don't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. They're beat some really good teams and are a true dark horse in 6A.</p>

<p><strong>North Atlanta Warriors</strong></p>

<p>They may not be the most talented team in 6A, but this is a team that knows how to win. They play tough, sound football and come ready to play every Friday night. They're blowing teams out week after week, beating four of their six opponents by 30+ points. Defensively, they've only given up 20+ points once. They battle, and they've really dominated so far in 2023. They're 6-0 with wins over Johns Creek, Drew, New Manchester, River Ridge, Wheeler, and St. Pius.</p>

<p><strong>Mundy's Mill Tigers</strong></p>

<p>Another team that just knows how to go out there and win, the Tigers won't be the most talented team you'll find in 6A, but they know how to battle and get the job done. They play hard, they compete, and they've made it look easy at times this year. They started the season with wins over Lovejoy, Fayette County, Riverdale, Alcovy, Forest Park, and just recently beat an outstanding Jonesboro team. They take on 1-4 Carver this week, giving them a great chance of getting to 7-0 next week. They are the favorites to win 6A Region 3, and it might be one of the best seasons in school history when it's all said and done. </p>
