In a big time conference win for St. John's, Oregon commit [player_tooltip player_id='264194' first='Da'juan' last='Riggs'] demonstrated exactly why he's headed to Eugene next Fall. Riggs carried the ball 10 times for 56 yards, but he also contributed to both the passing and receiving games for the Cadets as well. He completed his only pass of the day for 5 yards, and he also made 5 receptions for 134 yards and 1 touchdown. It's abundantly clear that [player_tooltip player_id='264194' first='Da'juan' last='Riggs'] is one of the most well-rounded players in the WCAC, and his dominant presence in the backfield absolutely keeps St. John's in the championship conversation this year. Riggs and the Cadets kickoff against the DeMatha Stags this Friday in their most important game of the season, and there's no doubt in my mind that, even against a formidable DeMatha defense, Riggs will find a way to make an impact on this contest.

[player_tooltip player_id='372517' first='Isaiah' last='French'] was superb against McNamara on Saturday, and he has definitely cemented himself as the starting quarterback of the Cadets' football team with his performance so far this season. French completed 9/15 passes for 200 yards a touchdown, finishing the game with an incredible overall QBR of 126.4. He also added a single carry for 4 rushing yards. [player_tooltip player_id='372517' first='Isaiah' last='French'] and the Cadets have a premier opportunity to hand DeMatha another conference loss, and they'll definitely need to put forth their best effort to do so. Scouts nationwide must tune-in to this one under the Friday night lights in Landover, MD.

2027 6'0 180 DB - [player_tooltip player_id='945023' first='Tyric' last='Powell'] - St. John's

On Saturday, Freshman phenom Tryic Powell proved that he can shine in the most competitive high school football conference in America. Powell hauled-in an interception and ran it back into the end zone to extend the lead to 17-0 for the Cadets, and this spectacular play ultimately secured the victory for them. It's absolutely incredible that Powell made such an impact on this game at such a young age, and he now must be viewed as one of best DBs in the 2027 class. [player_tooltip player_id='945023' first='Tyric' last='Powell'] and the entire St. John's defense face a very difficult task this Friday in the DeMatha Stags' offense, however, there's no better way to test yourself than against elite competition. It will be exciting to watch Powell and how he handles his matchups against some of the top receivers in the WCAC. [player_tooltip player_id='945023' first='Tyric' last='Powell'] should most definitely be in consideration for the conference's Rookie of the Year Award.

2024 6'1 190 LB - [player_tooltip player_id='264606' first='Shamar' last='Mcintosh'] - St. John's

[player_tooltip player_id='264606' first='Shamar' last='Mcintosh'] continued his fantastic season in St. Johns' victory over Bishop McNamara. He made the Play of the Game with an opening drive safety for the Cadet defense, and his off the charts effort sparked yet another impeccable performance by the SJC defensive unit. McIntosh is playing like the top uncommitted prospect in the DMV area right now, and he has an incredible chance to showcase his next level skills this Friday in a huge rivalry game versus 6-1 DeMatha. Scouts must treat McIntosh's recruitment with the utmost seriousness, because I believe he is a program changing player at the collegiate level.

2024 6'1 205 LB - [player_tooltip player_id='172814' first='Montay' last='Weedon'] - St. John's - Cincinnati

Cincinnati Bearcats' commit [player_tooltip player_id='172814' first='Montay' last='Weedon'] was an integral part of the Cadets' 23-14 win over the McNamara Mustangs. He earned 0.5 sacks on an opening drive safety alongside his teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='264606' first='Shamar' last='Mcintosh'], and he defended consistently well throughout the game. The Cadets will need a huge performance from Weedon this weekend to subdue a very efficient DeMatha Stags offense, however, if anyone can slow them down it's [player_tooltip player_id='172814' first='Montay' last='Weedon']. I guarantee you that #44 will be flying all-around the field in this all-time rivalry bout. All of Bearcat nation should know the name [player_tooltip player_id='172814' first='Montay' last='Weedon'] already, because he is going to make a tremendous impact on their program immediately next year!
