Ten Louisiana football standouts announced new college plans in October, including some notable SEC shuffling.

Here are the details on those prospects — eight current seniors and a pair of high-profile juniors — making some of the latest recruiting waves in The Boot.

Timothy Maxson | 6-, 260 DL | De La Salle (2024) —> Southeast Missouri State

October started the same way September ended: SEMO landing a Louisiana commitment to keep the new pipeline from the state flowing after their strong 2023 efforts in that regard. A big weekend for the RedHawks after Calvary Baptist safety [player_tooltip player_id='145363' first='Landon' last='Sylvie']'s pledge the day before.

[player_tooltip player_id='285624' first='Carldell' last='Sirmons'] | 5-7, 170 RB/ATH | Carroll (2024) —> Lamar

The Cardinals landed a potential steal Oct. 6 in the dynamic athlete who was among the state's most productive running backs as a junior at Ouachita Parish with his all-state, nearly 1,700-yard season.

[player_tooltip player_id='426960' first='TaRon' last='Francis'] | 6-1, 190 WR | Edna Karr (2025) —> LSU

The Tigers' capped a huge night on the field Oct. 14 with their rout of SEC West rival Auburn with a huge addition on the recruiting trail with the early commitment of the dynamic pass-catcher, one of the star prospects of the state's junior class.

[player_tooltip player_id='139626' first='Fred' last='Robertson'] | 5-9, 180 RB | Warren Easton (2024) —> Louisiana Tech

The Bulldogs landed arguably the state's top senior running back prospect when the Warren Easton star, a 2,000-yard rusher and all-state selection as a junior, announced his decision Oct. 18. Robertson has been an explosive playmaker for his Eagles throughout his high school career with good power to run between the tackles.

[player_tooltip player_id='285617' first='Katrevrick' last='Banks'] | 6-2, 165 DB/ATH | Homer (2024) —> Ole Miss

October 23 proved a rollercoaster evening for the Rebels on the recruiting trail in Louisiana. On the same night John F. Kennedy corner Bernard "Beeby" Causey backed off of his commitment from the summer, Ole Miss replaced him in its 2024 class with another promising defensive back prospect from the opposite corner of the state in the Pelicans star.

[player_tooltip player_id='285193' first='Bernard' last='Causey'] | 6-0, 160 DB | John F. Kennedy (2024) —> LSU

Causey only needed another day before announcing his new commitment to the home-state Tigers. The athletic, aggressive cornerback, one of the state's highest-ceiling senior prospects, had long been on LSU's radar, built strong relationships throughout the process and earned the offer in September.

[player_tooltip player_id='902049' first='Jaden' last='Moore'] | 6-3, 280 DL | West Feliciana (2024) —> Central Arkansas

The Saints' physical, versatile senior leader shared his commitment Oct. 24 to the Bears, joining another notable Baton Rouge area prospect in University Lab defensive end and tight end [player_tooltip player_id='677673' first='Laramie' last='Guidry'] in the program's class.

[player_tooltip player_id='291145' first='William' last='Patrick'] | 6-2, 190 DB | St. Frederick (2025) —> LSU Baseball

The multisport all-state standout earned multiple offers as a football prospect, but has not played the bulk of his junior season as he more clearly shifted his focus to baseball. He announced his commitment Oct. 25 to the home-state Tigers and may be rejoining his Warriors' teammates on the football field now that the college process has been sorted out.

[player_tooltip player_id='677948' first='D'Khai' last='Joseph'] | 5-10, 170 WR | East St. John (2024) —> Southeastern Louisiana

The Wildcats' speedster announced Oct. 30 that he was indeed Hammond-bound for college after a prior commitment to the lines in August, but a decision to September to reopen his recruitment for a few weeks and weight his options.

[player_tooltip player_id='901031' first='Aidan' last='Joseph'] | 6-2, 165 WR | Plaquemine (2024) —> Central Arkansas

The tall, athletic multisport standout became the third Baton Rouge area prospect in the class to announce his commitment to the Bears, joining Guidry and Moore.
