High school football players from every corner of Louisiana — and even dipping into Mississippi and Alabama — visited Baton Rouge on Saturday to participate in the Prep Redzone Louisiana Stock Up Showcase.

The network's second-annual Louisiana-based event, held at the new Elite Training Academy near LSU, featured standout performances from every position group and every high school class.

Here's a look at a few of the top eye-catchers among the linebackers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422729' first='Daelyn' last='Early'] — 5-11, 205 LB — Madison Prep (2028)

Top-performer honors for the linebacker position went to the Madison Prep sophomore for his all-around performance from solid testing numbers to quick changes of direction and breaks in individual drills to wins in many of his one-on-one reps, including a pair of interceptions. The Chargers graduate several key pieces of their stout 2025 defense, but have another promising standout on the rise in Early.

[player_tooltip player_id='934558' first='Ansinneo' last='Charles Jr.'] — 6-5, 215 EDGE/DL — Lafayette Renaissance Charter (2027)

The multisport standout for Lafayette Renaissance Charter was the tallest, longest athlete at Saturday's event and was a definite eye-catcher with the linebackers group with both his frame and his athleticism before also moving over to the defensive line group and flashing there again in some late reps.

[player_tooltip player_id='2094272' first='Arien' last='Crew'] — 6-2, 180 LB — Homer (2028)

Crew was one of a strong Homer contingent that made the trip down to Baton Rouge and enjoyed solid showings at a few different positions. The sophomore was a longer, leaner athlete among the linebackers, ran the best among the group with a 4.70-second 40-yard dash and showed some of the best ball skills in the group in terms of tracking and timing and making clean, sure catches.

[player_tooltip player_id='2090116' first='Gabe' last='Savarese'] — 5-11, 210 LB — St. Martin's Episcopal Church (2027)

The Saints' rising senior was the stoutest, most thickly built athlete of the linebacker corps and looked like a big thumper at the position with a strong break downhill in individual drills, but then also wrapped up the day with some solid coverage rest against talented quarterbacks and running backs as he kept windows tight and plays in front of him and made at least a well-timed deflection or two.

[player_tooltip player_id='2094270' first='Jeremiah' last='Wafer'] — 6-3, 185 EDGE/LB — Homer (2027)

Another of the Homer crew that stood out in the linebacking group, Wafer was among the taller, longer athletes at the position with a solid build and good fluidity in his drill-work and one-on-one coverage reps.

[player_tooltip player_id='2077313' first='Caleb' last='Zachary'] — 6-0, 155 LB — Lafayette Renaissance Charter (2029)

Coaches praised the LRCA freshman as a younger player in the linebacker group who stood out with his effort and competitiveness against largely older competition. Zachary gave up some size in most of his matchups, but moved well, battled overall and played the ball well when possible.
