Braylon showed off quick reactive vision and burst from play one on tape versus Hill City last Friday on his way to 17 carries, 207 yards and three touchdowns on his evening. There is plenty of consistent patience with Braylon’s running ability from Friday night as a RB prospect that showed off effective timing getting the yards where they were for the Comets. He also showed efficiency getting thru higher traffic areas in which Braylon used his instincts to his advantage as a prospect that used his change of direction to get downhill easily on numerous occasions on Friday night. A quarterback prospect that was just added to our 2025 South Dakota rankings, Lincoln had a HUGE day for the Chargers logging seven touchdowns versus Milbank last weekend. Lincoln showed off growing poise with his pocket presence on multiple levels of the football field as a QB prospect that is already stock-rising up our 2025 rankings after a short time. Even when he was pressured in the pocket, you can tell how quickly Lincoln has built chemistry with his Chargers wide receiving core as his ball placement was persistent in a 60-14 victory at home. Catching four of those Lincoln Prins Lincoln Prins 6’0″ | 175 lbs | QB Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD touchdowns was SFC wide receiver Cole Snyder Cole Snyder 5’11” | 165 lbs | ATH Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD as he also added defensively, two interceptions which is why he’s one of my favorite athletes in South Dakota on both sides of the ball. Cole put his best touchdown as play one on tape, showing off his instinctive awareness in high traffic areas to not only use his vision but also showing off great timing in double-coverage to find the ball early underneath the secondary. Cole impressed me last Friday with his route creativity as a prospect that constantly used his vision and separation to use his agility in the open field. He also showed off a wider catch radius than what his measurables show off, as a 2025 prospect if it were me recruiting him, I would certainly go outside the measurables threeshold for Cole due to the growing athleticism I have seen him grow since last camp season. Seven touchdowns and five interceptions in TWO weeks is a pretty strong indicator of that athleticism as Cole was nominated as a Midwest top performer of the week by my colleague Oliver West last week as well. Levi Veskrna
Levi Veskrna
Levi showed not only statistically what he could do against 11AA’s top defense in Week 7, but how he got his yards on tape also shows plenty of upside. Levi showed consistently how efficient he was of getting out of extremely high traffic areas of the Governors trenches as this young man showed a heck of amount of strength in his lower body to escape out of the inside box with plenty of contact yards out of the 267 yards he rushed for last Friday night on 43 carries and three touchdowns. You must give credit to the Lynx offensive line as well, as they gave Levi plenty of wiggle room to escape around the edges on tape in which he showed off just how much of a fluid and blue-collar running back he is. Certainly a newcomer to our 2026 class that I am sure will be a common name you will start hearing for our Big Dogs of the Week in the coming years. Twitter
Canaan McCracken
Canaan McCracken
The C-Hawks offensive line paved the way for TWO 200+yard rushers last week with includes 2024 newcomer Canaan McCracken. I haven’t seen last week’s tape yet, but from the glimpses of tape I saw of Canaan, as a 6’0 220 pound running back from last year paint the picture of a downhill bully-back that feeds off contact yards. Canaan shows off plenty of power and one that challenges the defender consistently by lowering his shoulder with his strength. Canaan also shows the fluidity with his lower body as a prospect that will get you those blue-collar extra yards. To those Dakotas schools that still use fullbacks, you might want to head to Canton this fall to find a hidden gem in Canaan McCracken. Twitter
Preston Karstens
Preston Karstens
A OL/DL prospect that intrigued me in the trenches this week in South Dakota is 6’3 275 pounds Preston Karstens of Gayville-Volin. At nose tackle, I liked watching this young man’s vision take shape as he showed off well-versed athletic mobility to twist right into the ball carrier’s lap consistently. He also showed reactive vision in the trenches. His best skillsets in my eyes were at offensive guard on tape, as Preston showed upside with his drive blocking into the second level as well as quick hands when the smaller defender tried to use their agility underneath him, as I see even more upside brewing with this young man in the coming years. Preston also won a handful of reps with his positioning and showed off on numerous reps that he was a finisher. Certainly a 2026 prospect that will be a newcomer to our upcoming 2026 rankings here at the end of the season. Twitter
