[player_tooltip player_id='1011382' first='Angel' last='Valenzuela'] 5-11 190 RB 26' Mountain View

If we are talking on the state's #1 breakout underclassmen thus far, it's probably Valenzuela. Look for the sophomore to make a big jump up the ranking board, leading the state in multiple categories with 1300+ yards and 20 TDs. The Cougars are undefeated with their best team in some time.

[player_tooltip player_id='974833' first='Cash' last='Landau'] 6-4 215 WR/TE 25' Franklin

Landau has been off the charts good all year, currently with the most receiving TDs in Oregon at the 6A level (12). His 6-4 215-pound frame is impressive, along with his overall athletic ability. He will be a PIL Player of the Year favorite, also excelling on D.

[player_tooltip player_id='1094961' first='Jordan' last='Hicks'] 5-11 190 RB 26' Mountainside

Hicks had a breakout performance versus Barlow, going for 200+ and 4 TDs early in the year. He has averaged over 100 yards per game, with 7 TDs through 7 weeks. Look for him to rank among the state's best for the 2026 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='402426' first='Traeger' last='Healy'] 6-1 185 QB 26' North Medford

Healy has had an outstanding year as a sophomore leading the Black Tornado. On the season the standout hooper has hit on 70% of passes, with 14 TD's/5 INTs through 7 games. He will likely have over 2000+ yards for the season and rank among the top sophomore QB's in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103479' first='Kenya' last='Johnson'] 6-0 185 RB 25' Sprague

One of Oregon's breakout Junior's. Through 7 weeks Johnson accounted for close to 1100 all-purpose yards and 13 TDs, averaging 5+ yards per carry. The Oly's are 1-7 as he has kept them competitive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1110957' first='Heath' last='Thompson'] 6-1 190 RB 26' Westview

Thompson could potentially be the Metro League rushing champion as a sophomore, for a team that lost their coach and a ton of talent over the off season. Through 7 weeks he ranked 2nd in the conference in rushing yards with 4 TDs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103947' first='Reid' last='Linkmeyer'] 6-3 205 RB 25' Liberty

The big RB has had a breakout season, tied for 7th statewide in rushing TDs with (8) through 7 weeks. The Falcons are 6-2 heading into their last league game against a Sherwood team that still hasn't given up a single point during conference play.

Dukatti Witherspoon 6-3 195 25' Sprague

Considering the Oly's are 1-7, Witherspoon has had an outstanding year keeping his team in ball games. On the season he's hit on 65% of his passes for close to 1400 yards, and 12 TDs/6 INTs through 7 weeks. New head coach AJ Robinson has done a good job as Sprague will return a host of talent next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232699' first='Cade' last='Mitchell'] 6-2 185 QB 26' Mountainside

In limited time Mitchell has looked good playing behind senior [player_tooltip player_id='511347' first='Alex' last='Ingalls'], while projecting as one of the top sophomore QB's in the state. He has great size and can run. The Mavericks have a special 2026 class and if they can get some line play the sky's the limit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1059015' first='Justin' last='Craigwell'] 5-11 190 RB/LB 26' Sunset

As a sophomore Craigwell ranks among the state statistical leaders on both sides of the ball, with double digit TDs and 60+ tackles. He will rank among Oregon's top overall athletes in the next couple years.

[player_tooltip player_id='402389' first='Andrew' last='Ramtel'] 5-9 160 WR 26' Mountainside

Ramtel currently ranks as the Metro's top receiver with 500+ yards and 30+ receptions on the year. The undersized slot has thrived as a youngster and will make a nice jump up the ranking board when updated.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103727' first='Wilson' last='Medina'] 6-1 205 RB 25' Sherwood

There is a lot which has been made of the Sherwood D for good reason, with the offense playing pretty well too. Medina ranked 7th in the state in rushing TDs (9), averaging 10 yards per carry through 7 weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='754681' first='Kellen' last='Oliver'] 6-1 165 QB 25' Canby

Oliver comes from a talented family. He has stepped up leading the Cougars at QB, with Canby currently sitting at 6-2 and ranked among the top 5 teams in the state.

Landyn Meeker 5-11 195 RB/LB 25' North Medford

Meeker made the move from 4A Henley and has impressed on both sides of the football. Offensively he has been a go to, opposite talented Sr. RB [player_tooltip player_id='511345' first='Jeremiah' last='Robbins'], rushing 68 times for 374 yards and 4 TDs in the first 6 weeks.

Gylan Payne 6-3 180 WR 25' Oregon City

Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1103525' first='Keaton' last='Moore'] has put up better numbers, but Payne has legit size at 6-3 180, and has real potential moving forward. Through 6 games he had 3 receptions and 2 TDs.
