We have reached the final week of the 2023 regular season. Several players emerged to the watch list this Week as teams are playing to sort out the Region playoff seedings. Most of these players return in 2024 and should be on your watch list this Spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='1568706' first='Tre' last='Winters']-WR/S-'25 Adairsville

Impressive athlete that we saw live Friday night. Tall, lean frame at 6'4. Has good body control and the speed to stretch the field North South. Multisport guy that plays basketball and runs track. Qualified for State last Spring in the long jump and high jump and is one of the top rising Junior basketball players in the NWGA Area entering this Winter. Had a breakout game Friday in the Region Championship. Hauled in 5 catches for 220 yards and 3 TDs in a 28-21 win over Bremen. He had an outstanding 3rd Q catching TD passes of 97 and 86 yards. He also had a TD saving tackle early in the 4th Q from his safety position. A WR to watch this off season. With his height and athleticism, he has the potential to catch the eyes of college programs heading into his Senior year.

https://twitter.com/Coach_JT_AHS/status/1718352223137095907

[player_tooltip player_id='252806' first='Jonathan' last='Gough']-QB-'24 Adairsville

The 6'3 205 QB has quietly gone about being one of the top QB's in our Area over the last 3 years. Has put together his 3rd straight 1000 yard passing season and lead the Tigers to back-to-back Region Titles for the 1st Time in over 20 years. Accurate arm and has the toughness and size to gain yards with his legs, averaging around 9 yards per carry with 10 rushing TDs this season. His grit was on display Friday. He missed most of the 1st half after taking an early shot to the knee but returned, hobbled, in the second half to throw for over 200 2nd half yards with 2 TDs to help lead the Tigers to the Region Title. If heart and toughness is something you like to check off on your recruiting card, Gough is worth evaluating.

https://twitter.com/jonathangoughqb/status/1707024889654264295

Trent McPherson-RB/S-'25 Bremen

We were really impressed with this guy Friday night in the Region Championship. Has outstanding vision with the ball in his hands. He is able to weave his way through traffic and has above average change of direction ability, shifty. Has good speed to get the ball around the edges and top end speed to get to the endzone once he gets past the 2nd level. Physical back that doesn't mind contact. Carries a 4.1 GPA and already power cleans 305 as a Junior. One to keep on your radar during the Spring/Summer evaluation period.

https://twitter.com/TrentMcPherson5/status/1718434719472206025

Landon William-RB/FB-'24 Dade Co

One of the toughest competitors in our Area. Has quietly gone about rushing for over 1000 yards this season while splitting carries in the Wolverine backfield. A guy whose name is always mentioned by opposing coaches when asked who the best player they played against was this season. 6'2 205 and is built like a brick wall. 2x State Wrestling champion that is no stranger to the weight room. He is looking for an opportunity to play at the next level and would be a great addition to your program, comes with high praise from his coaching staff.

https://twitter.com/Poston_Coach/status/1718400860709949778

Keith Collins-WR-'24 Coahulla Creek

The 5'10 Senior had a breakout game Week 11. Collins hauled in 7 catches for 166 yards, setting a new single game record for Coahulla Creek. Good possession receiver with great hands and good football IQ. Set the school record for most receptions in a game earlier this Fall with 11 catches. Rarely comes off the field and is productive on defense, breaking up a couple of passes Friday night. Has a 3.88 GPA and is a multisport guy playing OF for the Colts on the diamond.

https://twitter.com/CoahullaCreekFB/status/1702294359985488156

Braylon Hill-RB-'26 Cass

The Sophomore RB had a breakout game for the Colonels Friday night rushing for 136 yards on 21 carries and 2 TDs and added a fumble recovery on defense in a 52-29 upset win over Calhoun to clinch a playoff spot. 1st varsity start for Hill on a squad that is loaded with D1 talent. Great vision at the line of scrimmage and has the jets to get it to the endzone. Interesting prospect to watch this Spring/Summer and is a name to know in the NWGA Area over the next 2 years.

https://twitter.com/BraylonHill4/status/1718665658618007704
