Mid Tennessee Week 7 Standouts

He finished the game with 15 total tackles with for of those being for loss and 2 sacks. Sumerel flew around the field with great play speed and angles to the point of attack to show excellent open field tackling. He was consistently in the backfield, beating offensive lineman with quickness and technique to penetrate gaps. Fleming beat double teams with leverage and power to create space and split the OL. On offense, he had 7 catches for 176 yards and 1 touchdown. Great explosiveness after the catch, good physicality and play strength to break tackles using stiff arms with contact balance to stay on his feet. Good understanding of how to use his big frame to win at the catch point with good ball skills. On defense, Kyne had 7 tackles and 1 TFL with 1 forced fumble. On offense, he created vertical displacement in the run game with good hand usage, play strength, and hip torque to constantly bully defensive lineman. Briggs showed nice leverage and understands angles and positioning to help create running lanes.
