Recruiting news is an item that never seems to slow down no matter the time of year. We have plenty of recruiting news to take a look at across the Lone Star State. The state playoffs are approaching, however, that does not mean that the recruiting is going to slow down. Let's get caught up on some recruiting news to start the week.   [player_tooltip player_id='281657' first='Lance' last='Jackson']-Defensive Line-Pleasant Grove-2025   One of the most versatile prospects in the class of 2025. [player_tooltip player_id='281657' first='Lance' last='Jackson'] makes plays on both the offensive and the defensive sides of the ball. On the defensive side of the ball, he comes off of the edge quickly and can disrupt the opposing offensive backfield. Meanwhile, he is a dynamic athlete at tight end position on the offensive side of the ball. Jackson has earned a scholarship offer from Penn State University this week.   Noah Birdsong-Wide Receiver-Wimberley-2024   Noah Birdsong has tremendous speed and is dangerous for opposing secondaries on vertical routes. The Wimberley wide receiver has the athleticism to create problems in the red zone for opposing defenses. He does a good job of high pointing the football and using his athletic ability. Birdsong is a player that does a good job of making plays with the ball in his hands. He earned a scholarship offer from West Texas A&M University over the weekend.   Jake Wilson-Tight End-Montgomery-2024   Jake Wilson is a tight end that has continued to open plenty of eyes this season. Wilson is an unselfish blocker for his teammates and does a great job of helping to create a rushing lane. Meanwhile, he is a difficult matchup for opposing secondaries to account for on the field. Earlier in the week, Wilson earned a scholarship offer from Texas Tech. Wilson is currently committed to the University of Wyoming. He is a prospect to watch over the next few weeks.   Reggie Moody Jr.-Quarterback-Red Oak-2024   Reggie Moody Jr. is a quarterback that can hurt opposing defenses with his arm or his legs. He possesses good accuracy on his throws and can fit the ball into some tight windows. Moody Jr. knows when he needs to escape the pocket and can use his legs to extend drives for Red Oak. On Saturday, the Red Oak signal caller earned a scholarship offer from East Texas Baptist University. Congratulations go out to Moody Jr. on the scholarship offer.     Joseph Williams-Athlete-Mansfield Summit-2024   Joseph Williams is a dynamic athlete on both sides of the ball for Mansfield Summit. On the defensive side of the ball, he lines up at the safety position. He is a ballhawk in the defensive secondary. Williams has the talent to take an interception in the opposite direction for a touchdown. Over the past few weeks, he has earned scholarship offers from Washington State, Tulsa, Wyoming, Fordham, and Mary Hardin Baylor. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next few weeks as the early signing day approaches.
