We have entered the month of October, and the games are taking on added importance. District play is front, and center and we are going to take a look at some players that could have big Friday nights this week. It is going to be another busy week in the Lone Star State this week.

Titus Petteway-Running Back-Manor-6'1” 215-Pounds-2024

Petteway is having a strong 2023 football season. The Manor running back does a great job of allowing the rushing lane to develop before exploding through the hole. He does a great job of picking his rushing lane and following his blockers. At this point in the season, Petteway has rushed for 1,090 yards and found the end zone 15 times. He is having a monster season, and he has the ability to tack on more yardage this Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='595886' first='Vann' last='Hopping']-Running Back-Lake Travis-5'9” 185-Pounds-2026

Over the next few seasons, [player_tooltip player_id='595886' first='Vann' last='Hopping'] is going to open plenty of eyes. Hopping is a back that can carry the ball between the tackles with little difficulty. He has the speed to cut the run to the outside and go down the sideline. Hopping has found the end zone 8 times this season. He has the potential to continue to open some eyes this season and is going to be a prospect to watch out for over the next few years.

Bryce Garza-Defensive Back-Frienship-6'2”-2025-Pounds

Garza is a versatile prospect that can play all over the field for Frienship. He does an excellent job of playing the ball while it is in the air. Garza has the hands to pick off a pass in the secondary and take it the opposite direction. Meanwhile, he is a defender in the secondary that has a good feel for the routes that are run. Garza has the potential to open some eyes this Friday night. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='220167' first='Mason' last='Cochran']-Quarterback-Round Rock-6'3” 210-Pounds-2024

The Round Rock signal caller can cause problems for opposing defenses with his arm and his legs. Cochran is not afraid to pull the ball down and use his legs to extend drives. As a rusher, he averages almost 100 rushing yards per game. Meanwhile, Cochran throws the football with accuracy. He can fit the ball into some tight coverage and get his receivers open. Cochran is another player with the potential to have a big Friday night this week.

Will Hammond-Quarterback-Hutto-6'2” 195-Pounds-2024

The Hutto quarterback does a great job of spreading the ball around to his wide receivers. Hammond has the arm strength to test opposing defenders deep. Has a good sense of when the pocket is collapsing and can extend the play when needed. Hammond keeps his eyes down the field in order to make the throw. He is a prospect with the potential to have a big Friday night this week and is a player to keep an eye on as the season progresses.

We have entered the month of October, and the games are taking on added importance. District play is front, and center and we are going to take a look at some players that could have big Friday nights this week. It is going to be another busy week in the Lone Star State this week.
