At the top of my list of notable performers is [player_tooltip player_id='331739' first='Bryce' last='Button'], a 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback at South Warren High School. Button and the Spartans are coming off a 41-0 rout of Ohio County last week. What impresses me the most about Button is his ability to hit his receivers in stride, break tackles and get the ball out of his hands quickly off the snap. Another aspect of Button's playstyle that makes a difference is his footwork and ability to escape the defense on the ground, showing off his ability to break free into the backfield in crucial moments.

I am additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='677342' first='Ethan' last='Gregory'], a 5-foot-8, 180-pound running back at North Laurel High School. Gregory and the Jaguars picked up a 28-12 win over Harlan County this past week. Gregory impresses me on both sides of the ball as he also contributes defensively as a cornerback. Offensively, Gregory stands out with his strong footwork and physical edge in the pocket, utilizing bursts of speed to escape the defense and push his team into solid field position. On the other side, Gregory's field awareness and commanding stopping power have made a difference.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='773241' first='Reece' last='Asher'], a 5-foot-9, 135-pound athlete at Seneca High School. Asher and the Red Hawks claimed a 47-7 blowout win over Bullitt Central this past week. In addition to outstanding versatility down the stretch, Asher stands out with his breakaway speed and catching ability in the endzone, proving he can remain untouched as he hauls in deep passes in the house. Another aspect of Asher's playstyle that impresses is his ability to gain yards on short passes from along the edge, using his footwork and durability to break tackles on his way to the backfield.

Another skilled prospect to keep an eye on is [player_tooltip player_id='460597' first='Johnathan' last='Griffin'], a 6-foot-3, 210-pound defensive lineman at Franklin County High School. Griffin and the Flyers remain flawless on the year, defeating Western Hills in a 49-0 blowout victory last week. What makes Griffin so impactful defensively is his consistent execution and relentless toughness at the defensive line, blasting the offense with his strength and physicality. Griffin has showed off his ability to both apply pressure on the quarterback and make crucial stops in the pocket when his team needs it most.

Coming in at number five on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='402549' first='Jarvis' last='Strickland'], a 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive lineman at Paducah Tilghman High School. Strickland the Blue Tornado are coming off a 70-7 blowout victory over Calloway County this past week. Strickland impresses me with his ability to utilize his size and strength, bullying the defensive line with his blocking ability. I'm additionally fond of how Strickland can absorb defensive pressure and push the defense to the ground with his overwhelming toughness.
