With another week of high school football action in the books, it's time to once again visit the Bluegrass State to highlight some of the top performers from this past week of competition. Today, we will be focusing on a list of talented gunslingers that have made their presence known on the field this year and should continue to make for some entertaining football moving into this upcoming Friday night. Without any further ado, here's my list of some impactful quarterbacks in Kentucky to watch for in week 10.

At the top of my list of notable performers is [player_tooltip player_id='331733' first='Cutter' last='Boley'], a 6-foot-5, 200-pound quarterback at Lexington Christian Academy. Boley and the Eagles blasted past DuBois Academy by a final score of 51-0 last week. What stands out about Boley is his ability to adapt under pressure, break tackles and keep the play alive, utilizing his pin-point accuracy on deep passes to get the ball out of his hands before the defense makes contact. Boley also impresses me with his ability to complete challenging passes down the stretch when his receivers are under heavy coverage, showing off his precision in the air and ability to boost offensive production.

I am additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='340071' first='Deuce' last='Bailey'], a 6-foot-1, 170-pound quarterback at Bowling Green High School. Bailey and the Purples picked up a hard-fought 36-29 victory over South Warren last week. In addition to outstanding footwork and composure under center, what impresses me the most about Bailey is his electric quickness off the snap, ability to juke out the defense on the ground and his ability to hit his receivers in stride even under heavy pressure from opposing defenses. Bailey's arm strength and efficient passing deep into the backfield also compliment his success on the field this season.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='313643' first='Cole' last='Hodge'], a 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback at Christian Academy of Louisville. Hodge and the Centurions handed Bethlehem a 61-27 blowout loss this past week. On top of excellent footwork, size and speed, Hodge stands out with his durable edge, showing off his ability to stay on his feet under pressure, connecting with his receivers on quick completions or bullets deep into the redzone. I'm additionally fond of Hodge's awareness and decision-making, proving he can throw smart and precise passes to his receiving core no matter the circumstance.

Another skilled prospect to keep an eye on is [player_tooltip player_id='317787' first='Trevor' last='Havill'], a 6-foot-5, 210-pound quarterback at St. Xavier High School. Havill and the Tigers are coming off a 43-0 blowout victory over Meade County this past week. What impresses me about Havill's playstyle is his ability to quickly overwhelm the opposing defense with his precise passing and ability to target open receivers down the stretch. I'm additionally fond of Havill's ability to escape the defense on the ground, utilizing his quickness and solid execution to muscle past the pocket into the open field.

Coming in at number five on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='373782' first='Brady' last='Atwell'], a 6-foot-3, 225-pound quarterback at Owensboro Catholic High School. Atwell and the Aces remained undefeated last week, defeating Edmondson County in a 48-7 blowout victory. What I like about Atwell is his ability to connect with his receivers in stride from distance, proving he can make the impactful passing plays and put his team on the scoreboard. In addition to Atwell's ability to efficiently pass the ball under pressure, his overall arm strength and ability to consistently create major production in the air is what makes him so dangerous under center.

Also worth mentioning is [player_tooltip player_id='178084' first='Blaze' last='Berry'], a 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback at Eminence High School. Berry and the Warriors blasted past Berea in a 46-0 blowout win this past week. What stands out the most about Berry is his quick execution and ability to hit his receivers along the edge and down the stretch, showing his ability to maintain control and consistently keep the offense moving down the field. I also like Berry's deceptiveness on the ground, proving he can escape the defensive with his explosive speed and still complete challenging passes to his receivers in the endzone.
