As we get deeper into the month of September, we are already in the fifth week of the high school football regular season in the state of Kentucky. With that in mind, I wanted to highlight some seniors at each position who have stood out so far in their final season. After already covering the quarterbacks and running backs, here are some wide receivers in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky who have stood out so far this season.

After a breakout junior year, [player_tooltip player_id='1506774' first='Grayson' last='Harris'] has picked up right where he left off this season. Through four games, Harris has hauled in 21 passes for 481 yards and three touchdowns. Grayson is a very reliable jump ball/contested catch target, using his athleticism to attack the ball at its highest point along with the strong hands to bring in the catch through contact. He has also shown the ability to use his speed and smooth breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. Harris currently holds offers from Georgetown (KY) and Mount Saint Joseph, and I expect more offers to continue to pile up for him this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1584354' first='Kasyn' last='Massengale'] is another receiver who caught my attention last season and has continued to impress as a senior. He has caught 14 passes for 321 yards and four touchdowns through the first four games this season. Massengale has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease in the deep passing game. He has also shown the ability to get up the field in a hurry to pick up yards after the catch. Kasyn doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should have their eyes on this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='283976' first='Luke' last='Tompkins'] has been on my radar for a while now and is off to a strong start to his senior year, catching 27 passes for 441 yards and seven touchdowns in the first four games. Tompkins does a great job of using his quick release and speed to create separation with ease in the deep passing game. He is also very impressive after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes into big gains at any moment. Tompkins has also made an impact on defense this season, accounting for 14 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a team-high four interceptions, returning one of them for a touchdown. Luke currently holds offers from Mount Saint Joseph and Georgetown (KY), and I expect more to come his way this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='971497' first='Isaiah' last='Martin'] is another player who has been on my radar for a while now and has continued to stand out as a senior. He has played a huge role in Murray's 4-0 start, catching 18 passes for 357 yards and eight touchdowns. Martin is an impressive route runner, using quick breaks in his routes to create separation. He has also shown the ability to use his speed to run by opposing defensive backs with ease in the deep passing game and to pick up yards after the catch. Isaiah has also returned one kickoff for a touchdown and accounted for 38 tackles for far this season. Martin currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky, UT-Martin, Murray State, and Bethel (TN), and I expect that list to continue to grow during his senior year.

Cooper has shown the ability to use his speed and quick breaks in his routes to create separation from opposing defensive backs with ease. He has also shown an impressive ability to track the ball in the deep passing game, showing the ability to bring in passes with ease over his shoulder without losing stride. JT is committed to Gardner-Webb where I can see him developing into a productive receiver at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1663686' first='Jake' last='Carter'] has played a key role in South Warren's undefeated start, catching 29 passes for 407 yards and three touchdowns in their first four games. Carter has impressive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease in the deep passing game. He is also very dangerous after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes/screens into big gains. Jake has also scored one rushing touchdown this season. Carter doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player that I expect college coaches to be paying close attention to this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1373077' first='Kinnett' last='Wills'] caught my attention as a junior and is off to a strong start to his senior year. Through four games, Wills has caught 20 passes for 409 yards and six touchdowns. Wills has a quick release which he uses to create early separation with ease. He is also very reliable in the deep passing game, using his speed to run by opposing defensive backs along with his athleticism to win in jump ball situations when defenders are able to keep up with him. Wills has also made an impact on defense this season, accounting for 29 tackles and two interceptions (tied for team lead) so far. Kinnett doesn't currently hold any offers but I wouldn't be surprised to see some come his way soon as he has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

The final 2026 wide receiver in the state of Kentucky who has stood out to me so far this season is [player_tooltip player_id='283956' first='Brayden' last='Lightfoot']. Lightfoot has caught 25 passes for 290 yards and four touchdowns in four games as a senior. Brayden is utilized very effectively on screen passes as he has the speed and elusiveness in the open field to break away for a big gain at any given moment. He has also shown the ability to use his speed to pose as a reliable target in the deep passing game. Brayden doesn't currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player who deserves some attention from college coaches.
