There is a significant number of known prospects who have developed strong footholds in the recruiting realm, while newcomers find their way onto the radar every week. This article will briefly examine five wide receivers who have earned their way into the spotlight.
Carson Pierce | Cherokee
Pierce is an explosive runner who can create separation from his defender while finding open spaces within the secondary. His athleticism and vision as a ball carrier make him a dangerous runner after the catch, giving him the ability to pick up substantial yards for the offense. Pierce is a two-way player with significant college potential who has been detrimental to the offense, making him one worth watching.
Jackson Hansen | Ralston Valley
Hansen is an offensive playmaker in the passing game with the potential to be a valuable asset at the next level. His speedy release, shifty route-running, and reliable catching skills make him a player that defense must account for at all times. He does an excellent job of avoiding the reroute out of his release and working to restack the defender before getting separation out of his breaks. Hansen is an ideal candidate for a program in search of a dangerous slot receiver with a knack for making plays.
Jeremiah Hoffman Jeremiah Hoffman 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Severance | 2025 State CO | Severance
Hoffman first exploded onto the scene as a freshman and quickly supplanted himself as one of the top wide receiver prospects in the state. His blazing speed and surehandedness make him a nightmare for defensive secondaries. His willingness to block makes him a reliable player worth keeping on the field as often as possible, greatly adding to his stock value. Hoffman has found himself on the radars of some prolific college programs, making him a player to scout ASAP.
Cash Spence Cash Spence 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Valor Christian | 2026 CO | Valor Christian
Spence is an outstanding slot receiver with impressive overall athleticism. His explosiveness out of his breaks helps him create space from the defender, and his reliable catching abilities allow him to come down with the ball, even when catching in traffic. His ability to make things happen whenever he gets the ball into open space makes him a viable option as a return man on special teams. Spence is a plug-and-play offensive standout with the potential to become a top recruit.
Jaden Zeller Jaden Zeller 5'9" | 140 lbs | ATH CO | Chatfield
Zeller is a freshman who has proven to be a legitimate difference-maker as a passing target. His shifty releases and quick acceleration help him create space from the defender off the line and out of his breaks. His ability to track the ball in the air and make acrobatic catches while toe-tapping the sideline is awe-inspiring. Zeller has shown outstanding poise and talent at such an early stage in his high school career, making him a must-know player.
