This late in the high school football year all that and more is on the line. A year’s worth of bragging rights in the Metroplex, the right to claim the top ranking in the state, are topics of conversation when you talk about the matchup between Duncanville and Desoto. Both teams come in ranked in the top 5 in the State of Texas, with Duncanville ranked number one and Desoto number three. The game features the reining State Champions from 6A D1, the Duncanville Panthers and 6A DII Champions, the Desoto Eagles. For this article we look at the key players for Duncanville, who will be at the forefront of the Panthers game plan versus Desoto.
Caden Durham Caden Durham 5’10” | 185 lbs | RB Duncanville | 2024 State TX brings a dynamic skill set to the running back position. His 6’4″ frame and extended wingspan make him a formidable presence. He is not just a space-eater; his violent hands and pass-rushing skills from the interior will disrupt opposing offenses. Paired with Simmons and Ford Jr., the Panthers have a formidable defensive trio that will create chaos for opponents. Look for Alex to push the pocket, cause havoc and be disruptive against Desoto.
