Eden Prairie shot out to a big lead, but Minnetonka fought their way back. It took an impressive late-game drive by the Eagles to put the game away.
Sather was a force on both sides of the line of scrimmage. He stuffed an inside run and then stuffed an inside run inside the five-yard line. On offense, the center was the man in the middle, making the inside running game go and sealing off the interior, allowing the Eagles’ pulling guards to do their work on the outside.

Francios tucked the ball on a keeper around the corner off a play fake. His speed picked up forty yards. He was most effective throwing the ball when he was getting the ball out quickly. He was accurate on short throws throughout the game. One of his biggest throws was a crossing route on a fourth down to pick up the first down.
Sims’ block on the edge springs a runner on fourth and short. He helped open a big hole for Hawkin Hedlund for a first down on third and one. On the epic, 22-play drive, Sims helped open a big hole to pick up a fourth and short in the fourth quarter. Then, he was part of opening another big hole to pick up a first down on fourth and four.
Highlights
Poole caught a throw in the flat, put his foot in the ground, and quickly cut up the field for good yardage. Near the goal line, he took a handoff and threw an eleven-yard touchdown pass on a halfback pass. Later, Poole caught a pass in the flat and made multiple guys miss for seven yards.

Vaugn Feely
Early, Feely closed and deflected a mid-range throw in the middle of the field. His biggest plays came as a result of his tackling ability. He made an open-field tackle on a throw into the flat, preventing a long gain. He made a second one-on-one tackle on an outside run. Finally, the Skippers tested him again, and he made another open-field tackle on a sweep for a short gain.

Dakota Chou
Chou likes to lay the lumber to runners. He made a great open-field tackle on the outside to prevent a first down. Then, Chouhe made a jarring hit and tackle on third down. He put another big hit and wrapped the runner up on a second Eagles runner.
When pulling on a fourth and short, Ruhlin’s kick-out block opened the hole behind Yuvraj Sidhu and Hayden Broich Hayden Broich 6’3″ | 275 lbs | OL Eden Prairie | 2024 State MN . Saine made a tackle on the inside for a short gain. Then, he stuffed an inside run on third and short – preventing a first down. His quick penetration stopped a sweep for a loss. Against the pass, he pressured the quarterback into a rushed and incomplete throw.

Liam Berndt
Berndt started his night with a handoff. He made a nice move to free himself for 15 yards. The senior made a rather conventional ten-yard catch later in the game but made a highlight reel catch late. He stuck his hand out to snag an errant pass with one hand to pick up a first down. On a late 4th and two, Berndt easily picked up a first down on the ground.
Broich often showed his agility as one of the primary pulling guards with the Eagles’ devastating trap game. His best moment was on one of those trap blocks when he pulled and destroyed a defender to open a hole for a first down. Later, he pulled, and his open field block sprung a back for a big gain.
David Ivey
David Ivey
Ivey rolled out early and picked up five yards. Then, he threw on the move to complete a ten-yard throw in the middle of the field. On a fourth down, the receiver was wide open, but Ivey made a nice fake to pull up the defense and hit his receiver for a 28-yard touchdown.
On defense, Rahouski made a tackle for a short gain and then knocked away a pass. Offensively, on fourth down, he made a 28-yard touchdown catch on a play-action pass.
