The players demonstrated remarkable athleticism, strategic thinking, and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression on scouts and fans alike. This scouting report aims to highlight 5 standout performers from week 8 who deserve recognition for their outstanding contributions.
Nick Clark
Nick Clark
Nick Clark rushed for 199 yards on 14 carries & 3 TDs vs Foley. Clark’s power is primarily what makes me fall in love with his film. When Clark is handed the ball, I don’t recommend getting in his way, because he is like a freight train. Another reason why I love his game is because he is not scared to take a hit. When running up the gap, Clark does not panic when the defense collapses. As a matter of fact, he drops his shoulder and fights for yards. I love seeing him embracing contact and fighting for yards.
Jared Hollins Jared Hollins 6’4″ | 180 lbs | QB Mary Montgomery | 2024 State AL completed 12-of-16 passing for 322 yards & 6 TDs vs Robertsdale. Hollins has an absolute cannon for an arm. His ability to get the ball to the receiver in the blink of an eye is what makes him so special. In their game against Robertsdale, Hollins did a fantastic job of moving the chains on every drive by throwing short passes. Not only will his throwing velocity wow you, his accuracy on these short throws is just as impressive. He throws the ball where the receiver should be instead of where they are. This is something you want to see from your starting QB, because he will rarely throw the ball behind the receiver.
Trent Seaborn Trent Seaborn 6’1″ | 180 lbs | QB Thompson | 2027 State AL completed 18-of-27 passing for 260 yards & 3 TDs vs Hoover. Seaborn’s precision and ball placement are attributes that immediately stand out on film. He exhibits excellent touch and accuracy on his throws, allowing him to deliver the ball to his receivers in stride, maximizing yards after the catch. His ability to lead his targets effectively and place throws where only his receivers can make a play on the ball is a testament to his quarterback acumen. Seaborn shows a knack for reading defenses and understanding coverage, which aids him in consistently putting the ball where it needs to be.
Seaborn’s pocket presence is another strength that sets him apart. He displays impressive poise in the pocket, maintaining awareness of the pass rush and consistently delivering throws under duress. Seaborn can navigate the pocket efficiently, stepping up when needed and escaping pressure while keeping his eyes downfield. This attribute allows him to extend plays and make throws on the run, adding a dual-threat element to his game.

Peyton Floyd Peyton Floyd 5’11” | 175 lbs | QB Hewitt-Trussvile | 2024 State AL completed 13-of-17 passing for 240 yards & 4 TDs, 19 yards on 7 carries & TD vs Chelsea. Floyd shows above average athleticism. He moves in the pocket well, he’s very good at escaping pressure. Floyd can run, but he’s not looking to run, he’s always looking to throw. He can throw on the run well and he had to show it often as he was under almost constant pressure. Floyd regularly escapes that pressure in the backfield like a magician, finds the open receiver, and throws a beautiful competition while multiple defenders close in on him. I’m confident Floyd can play behind any offensive line and be successful.

John Paul Head
John Paul Head
John Paul Head completed 13-of-18 passing for 150 yards & TD, 137 yards on 16 carries & 3 TDs vs Tuscaloosa Co. Head is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks I’ve seen in Alabama. His ability to keep the defense on their toes is something college scouts love to see from a high school quarterback. As mentioned, during the game against Tuscaloosa Co. he rushed for a total of 137yards and 3 touchdowns. When a quarterback of his caliber can rush for that many touchdowns, it is very obvious that he has the potential to be something special. His ability to keep the play alive when he leaves the pocket makes Head one of the top quarterbacks in Alabama. When watching film, he does a fantastic job of making plays outside of the pocket when necessary.
