We now have a better understanding of which teams are genuinely talented, which teams may have had a stroke of luck in the first few weeks, and which teams are looking to improve for next season. I will provide a preview for each game in week 8 by conference for the 5A level. The Mid-Willamette Conference is up next. Each game will include a prediction and highlight some players from each team to watch based on their recent performances.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#2 Silverton (7-0) @ #7 West Albany (6-1)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Prediction:</strong> Silverton def. West Albany 28-21.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This matchup is a strong candidate for game of the week, as both teams are ranked within the top ten and have legitimate chances of winning the 5A title. Personally, I am looking forward to watching this game, and I anticipate a close contest. However, I have concerns about West Albany, as they lost a game they should have won against South Albany a few weeks ago. On the other hand, Silverton dominated South Albany, beating them 42-0.
