Max Pickett Max Pickett 6'0" | 205 lbs | RB Hobart | 2026 State IN – Hobart – RB – 6’0″ 205lbs – 2026
Pickett is a young and powerful back who is beginning to take over games and dominate. He’s physical, does a good job running behind his pads, and then has the balance to stay upright and fight through contact. He doesn’t have much, if any wasted movement and does a great job running North/South. He won’t dance around in the backfield. He sees the hole, hits it, and does a good job being a runner after that. Pickett is a younger back, yet is ahead of schedule when you look at his frame and body of work. He’s not a back who will bust an 80-yard TD untouched, but he’ll wear a defense down, be incredibly consistent, and still hit big plays. He’s coming off his best game yet this year as well. Just under 200 rushing yards and 5 TDs last week for Pickett and it felt like he may have turned a corner with his confidence on the field. Pickett is young, making plays, and right where he should be with his development.

Roland Vera Jr Roland Vera Jr 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH FJ Reitz | 2024 State IN – FJ Reitz – ATH – 5’9″ 170lbs – 2024
Vera has always shown flash and potential, but this year has taken it to another level. He’s gone from a piece of the running game and receiving game to being the focal point of the offense. Getting the ball in Vera’s hands and letting him go to work has been the plan, and it works pretty well. He’s shifty and has good suddenness, but then has a more compact build that allows him to bounce off more tackles than he probably should at his size. He’s got fantastic vision and does a good job finding the open lane just about every time he touches the ball. He’s even got experience returning kicks, punting the ball, and playing defense. He’s seen it all, done it all, and always circled back around to have the ball in his hands. His endurance is pretty impressive being that he seemingly never comes off the field. This year, just on offense he’s got 307 rushing yards and 9 TDs, 48 catches with 640 receiving yards and 5 TDs, then added a 70-yard TD pass hitting the offensive trifecta this year. Vera is the perfect type of recruit to bring in, develop, and put him on the field wherever he thrives most.

Daniel Asgedom Daniel Asgedom 6'0" | 200 lbs | RB Munster | 2024 State IN – Munster – RB – 6’0″ 197lbs – 2024
Asgedom has quietly put together one of the most productive seasons and a half in Indiana. Since he stepped on the field for Munster, he’s been incredible and only getting better. He’s got good vision and has the feet to match. He’s got quick feet that allow him to get to that hole and hit it. He’s not going to be run down once he hits the open field, which he does quite often. He can make a guy miss in the hole and then has the power and size to run through DB tackles. In the past 17 games for Munster, Asgedom has rushed for 2511 yards and 26 TDs while averaging almost 6 yards per attempt. He’s been dynamic, yet as consistent and reliable as anyone they’ve got. There’s no doubt that he may be a bit raw in the passing game and blitz pickup, but he seems smart and like he could pick it up quickly. However, Asgedom is best with the ball in his hands as he’s shown throughout his high school career.

Ayden Ewing Ayden Ewing 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Yorktown | 2024 State IN – Yorktown – RB – 5’11” 195lbs – 2024
Ewing has been a breakout player this year and has untapped potential that could be drilled into over the next few years. He’s shifty, has good vision, and great side-to-side agility along with the ability to re-accelerate as quickly as anyone. He’s able to bounce the ball to the outside and get the corner if he needs to. However, he’s strong enough to deliver the stiff arm and keep the defender off him. Ewing is a big play waiting to happen and hits them again and again. It’s best to get the ball in his hands early and let him heat up. He’s as good as anyone in open space and isn’t going down to the first defender. His 815 yards and 12 TDs during the regular season gave him solid numbers, but it’s the way he looks. There’s still more to Ewing’s game and once he hits his peak, he could be a star on Saturdays.
