They can create separation, go up and make contested catches and find the green grass. These are the guys you’ll want to keep your eye on over the next three years as they keep developing:
Jordon Gidron Jordon Gidron 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Ridge View | 2026 State SC | Ridge View
Gidron is a versatile receiver who can make plays through a variety of different routes. The route that came up time and time again in watching his film was the slip screen. He catches the ball with his hands and then gets up field quickly to get 10 to 15 yards. He can also beat his man in one-on-one coverage in the deep passing game, catching the ball at its highest point. He had 23 catches for 437 yards and 8 touchdowns at the midseason point.
Jamel Howse Jamel Howse 6'4" | 210 lbs | WR Newberry | 2026 State SC | Newberry
What was most impressive about Howse in turning on his film is his ability to create for his quarterback when he’s under pressure. He has a good presence of mind to find the green grass where defenders aren’t present and turn it into a huge gain or score. But he can also win his one-on-one matchups and create separation when the offense wants to go deep.
Hiszari Gantt Hiszari Gantt 5'9" | 140 lbs | WR Silver Bluff | 2026 State SC | Silver Bluff
Gantt (pictured above) has a unique combination of speed and power to where when he gets in the open field, he’s tough to catch up with. He’s another receiver who can run routes to the sideline, like on rollouts, for example or he can take a jet sweep and get up field for yards quickly. The coaches know how valuable of an athlete he is in the open field and design plays to get it into his hands. He can make people miss in space as well.
Jordan Jenkins Jordan Jenkins 6'4" | 170 lbs | WR Conway | 2026 State SC | Conway
Jenkins can turn a screen pass into a touchdown. He doesn’t waste time and dance in space, it’s solid north and south running. He is also used in the spread option game occasionally as well.
Blake Betette Blake Betette 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Richland Northeast | 2026 State SC | Richland Northeast
Betette is quick and shows off that speed once he gets into open space. He can go up and make a great catch in a one-on-one situation or find green grass and get open, like we saw on a slant. He’s not afraid of contact either. He had 11 catches for 280 yards and 3 touchdowns, averaging 25 yards per reception, per his midseason highlight film.
Kaleb Berry Kaleb Berry 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Dreher | 2026 State SC | Dreher
Berry is a great route runner who can make the contested catches or make a play out in space against a defender.
Jude Hall Jude Hall 6'4" | 185 lbs | WR Christ Church | 2026 State SC | Christ Church
Hall can create matchup problems for the teams he goes up against. He can go up and catch the ball at its highest point while making the routine catches, like on a hitch and can turn it into a 5 to 10 yard gain.
Donovan Murph Donovan Murph 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Irmo | 2026 State SC | Irmo
Murph is another matchup problem for opposing teams. He is long, tall and is a downfield threat to score when the ball is in his hands. He can create separation and run right by defenders or he can help his quarterback out when the play breaks down. He runs great routes and will be a guy to watch going forward.
Jaiden Taylor Jaiden Taylor 5'4" | 160 lbs | WR Riverside | 2026 State SC | Riverside
Whether he lines up on the outside or in the slot, Taylor’s speed will catch your eye when the ball is in his hands. He made an unbelievable catch on the first play of his highlight where he created separation, and used his athleticism to do the rest. He is also used on jet sweeps and he can make people miss in space. When he’s out in the open field, good luck trying to catch him because he’ll just run right by you. He had 23 receptions, 327 yards and 6 touchdowns at the midseason mark.
