Westmoore standout and Houston commit Micheal Graham Micheal Graham 6’0″ | ATH Del City | 2024 State OK soared up the rankings into the Top 15 on this ranking update. Graham has been absolutely electric on the offensive side of the ball. His overall speed and quickness has been very fun to watch this season. But he’s more than likely headed to the next level to play on the other side of the ball and not only has he been lights on that side, he’s also come up with some very clutch plays in Westmoore’s biggest games this season. Graham has been outstanding this fall and we think that he and the Jaguars have a great chance to make a ton of noise this postseason. Graham is so slippery in the backfield but keep an eye on what he does on the defensive side of the ball as well.
We’ve said this before but it was only a matter of time before Owasso standout Deuce Chalk Deuce Chalk 6’2″ | 175 lbs | WR Owasso | 2024 State OK established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the state’s 2024 class. Chalk has been steadily building towards this season and he’s seeing the fruits of all his labor over the last few years. Chalk has had a fantastic season with Owasso this season and he’s coming off arguably the best game of his career last week against Edmond Santa Fe. His numbers are really impressive as he’s emerged as Owasso’s top “big play” option. He has just over 750 yards on just 34 catches. We’ve seen Chalk over the last two offseasons while he played in various 7v7 tournaments and he always shined. Now he’s doing it on Friday nights with the pads on.
Guthrie running back Jaylen Harper Jaylen Harper 5’11” | RB Guthrie | 2024 State OK enjoyed a breakout season last year as a junior. He filled in for Isaiah Hammons when he was dealing with injuries but this season, Harper came into the year as the marquee back. He quickly became one of the top running backs to watch in Oklahoma. He’s been one of the more consistent running backs in the state this season. Week after week, you know what to expect from Harper. He makes 125-150 yards and a couple touchdowns look easy and he’s shined bright in some of their biggest games this season. Guthrie’s defense has earned plenty of headlines this season but Harper has been the top playmaker on a Guthrie team that expects to contend for another state championship.
Norman senior standout Dax Noles Dax Noles 6’0″ | 195 lbs | DB Norman | 2024 State OK climbed up the 2024 rankings this time around and it’s pretty simple for us. Noles has been one of the more impactful 2024 prospects that we’ve seen in person this season. Noles is listed as a defensive back because he’s headed to the next level to play defense. But when we got a chance to see Norman in person earlier this season, Noles shined in all three phases of the game. Whether it was as a running back on offense or returning a punt for a touchdown in special teams, Noles had his presence felt that night. Noles is a good example of why in-person evaluations are so important. Noles looked the part on film but then we got a chance to see him in person and he checked every box.
It definitely helps that we just saw Hominy senior standout Jaxon Woods Jaxon Woods 6’0″ | ATH Hominy | 2024 State OK in person last week but it just solidified what we already knew. The Class A standout is one of the best overall football players in Oklahoma. And this continues what we were saying about Noles. Woods shines bright on film but then you see him in person and you see that he’s not a thin player dominating lower competition. He might be considered undersized in the height department but he’s built well and there’s no denying the athleticism and production he has shown in his career at Hominy. Woods is outstanding at the quarterback position and can torch defenses with his arm and his legs. Then he turns around and is one of the hardest hitters on defense.
