Canadian QB Camren Cavalier accounted for eight of the Wildcats' 9 touchdowns. . .Bushland amassed 265 yards of offense in 24 minutes of football to roll past Borger in game called at halftime because of lightning and inclement weather. . . Hereford remained unbeaten with a 12-point win over struggling Tascosa in another weather-shortened game. The Whitefaces scored on two long TD passes to take a 20-14 halftime lead and they held on from there. . .Amarillo (1-3) couldn't protect a 22-point first half lead as they fell to Odessa by a single point on the road. Odessa returned a kickoff for a TD with less than 3 minutes left in the game. The heartbreaking loss spoiled a superb performance by RB Pius Vokes. . .Panhandle improved to 4-0 by scoring 65 points on Amarillo River Road. . .Farwell is 4-0 after defeating cross border rival Texico (NM). Corey Stancell had 133 yards rushing, 67 yards receiving and scored 4 TD. . .Randall built a 30-14 lead over Wichita Falls by the middle of the third quarter and held on for the two-point win. . .Canyon limited Caprock to 150 total yards in a shutout win, including just 68 rushing yards on 21 carries. Canyon QB Boston Bell completed 18-of-23 passes for 202 yards. </p>

Frenship QB Hudson Hutcheson passed for 226 yards and 1 TD. . .After a pair of 35-34 losses, Lubbock-Cooper went on the road and held Wichita Falls Rider to 164 offensive yards in a lopsided victory. The Pirates generated 488 yards themselves. . .Lubbock Monterey is #3 in the MaxPreps Lubbock Region poll despite falling to Midland. . .Seminole remained unbeaten with a tough road win at Andrews and rose to #5 in the MaxPreps Lubbock Region poll. The Bulldogs had 251 rushing yards in the home win over Lubbock Monterey. . .#3 Monahans is also unbeaten after a 43-22 victory over Snyder. . .Odessa Permian suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss at Harker Heights as the Panthers' failed to convert a two-point conversion in the final minutes of the game and then Harker Heights recovered the onsides kick. QB Jakob Garcia scored a rushing TD with 2:26 left to pull the Panthers within two points. . .Odessa continued its ‘Kardiac Kids' theme to the 2023 season with a 36-35 home win over Amarillo, rallying from a 22-point first half deficit. Three of Odessa's four games this season have been decided by 2 points or less. WR Ivan Carreon had 6 receptions for 133 yards and 1 TD. </p>

The Trail Blazers lost their previous two games by a combined total of 4 points. . .The Del Valle defense held Canutillo to 13 passing yards and 151 total yards in the 24-point road win. Del Valle is #5 in the latest MaxPreps El Paso Region poll. . .Chapin took the lead for good on a 16-yard TD run and 2-pt conversion in the fourth quarter and then came up with the game-saving interception with 12 seconds left to beat Parkland in a shootout. Parkland suffered its first loss of the season. . .Montwood QBs Michael Southern and Alex Papa combined for 322 passing yards and 4 TD in a 20-point win over Socorro. The Socorro offense was held to 83 total offensive yards. . .Mountain View rushed for 269 yards and passed for 315 yards to roll past Irvin. . .Austin dealt Hanks its first loss of the season, 20-19, as the Knights failed on a two-point conversion with 1:50 left. </p>
