The game featured multiple big-time prospects, but also players who have been underrated during their careers. Below, I detail why these five specific players are set to be on coaches’ radars for the rest of the season.
Luey Jaime Luey Jaime 6’1″ | 160 lbs | WR Desert Pines | 2026 State NV ‘s teammates were slicing up the Faith Lutheran defense all night, but I was impressed with Luey’s potential after the Jaguars’ first touchdown drive. Luey displayed good quickness and a flash of next level elusiveness shaking defenders to set up his offense in the redzone. Luey’s length, athleticism, and strong hands suggest he has the potential to play multiple receiver positions at the next level. Luey has been on visits to UCLA and USC so expect more schools in the region to come calling this fall.
Devin Clark Devin Clark 6’0″ | 250 lbs | DL Desert Pines | 2026 State NV helped lead the way for his teammate’s three rushing touchdowns last Friday. Devin was a rock in the middle on defense for the Jaguars showing a solid anchor and good instincts finding the ball in the backfield. Good quickness shows slipping blockers while Devin’s next level power showed driving defenders downfield in the run game. Devin’s athleticism displayed on both sides of the ball give him a shot to be a versatile defensive line prospect before his high school career comes to an end.
Caden Chittenden
Caden Chittenden
Caden Chittenden earned the majority of Faith Lutheran’s points last weekend. His next level power showed immediately hitting a field goal from over thirty yards out. Caden has five scholarship offers and has been to camps all across the country. Look for more schools on the west coast to offer Caden before 2024 gets here.
Cade Keith Cade Keith 6’5″ | 230 lbs | TE Faith Lutheran | 2024 State NV earned tough yardage for Faith Lutheran all night last Friday. Despite the loss, Cade showed good toughness, strong hands, and quickness in the open field. I was impressed with Cade’s effort and power displayed as a lead blocker. Cade’s ability to run through traffic, athleticism at the catchpoint, and effort as a blocker highlight his ability to be a Y-TE at the next level. Cade aligned everywhere from the slot to H back and offensive recruiters will be sure to take note of his versatility all season long.
Steve Manuma
Steve Manuma
Steve Manuma was one of the main reasons Desert Pines was able to dominate Faith Lutheran on defense last Friday night. Steve showed good length, instincts, and tackling ability consistently closing on ball carriers in the backfield. Good quickness, hand speed, and power got displayed beating offensive tackles in pass protection. Steve’s good anchor shown in run defense and consistent pressure as an edge rusher highlight his potential to develop into an all-around defensive end prospect. Steve received his first offer from UNLV a few weeks ago so watch for more schools surrounding Nevada to offer the talented defender this fall.
