Nicknamed “The Hulk” for a reason, the sophomore linebacker has been a relentless warrior for the VA Academy Patriots all season early on. Already performing at a high level for the Patriots, he ticked that up a notch in their victory over Central Virginia when he accounted for 5.5 sacks! That is not a misprint, he had over 5 sacks in one game, that is a historic number. Lux was all over the field on Saturday and in his team’s 63-0 shutout proved once again that VA Academy is on to something out there in Ashburn.
A name to remember for the class of 2026 is Tristan Lux Tristan Lux 6’1″ | 220 lbs | LB Virginia Academy | 2026 VA , he will soar up ranking boards across the country very soon. The way he has played so far in 2023, if he doesn’t then we need to rewatch the tape.

Wyatt Bach
Wyatt Bach
We started with defense this week and it was deserved for both Tristan Lux Tristan Lux 6’1″ | 220 lbs | LB Virginia Academy | 2026 VA ‘s and Wyatt Bach’s outings. Wyatt had a historic night in Gainesville beatdown of Robinson, returning three touchdowns for scores from his safety position. You read that right, the senior safety had not 1, not 2, but 3 defensive touchdowns last week! Two fumbles and one interception were marked down for the evening and it should not come as a surprise as this young man has been working on his game nonstop for quite some time. His pick six was nearly 100 yards, this kid is going to make some college coaching staff very happy next year.

The South County Stallions were on a mission last week, to take down what many people had perceived as the best team in the conference in the Fairfax Lions. Not only did the Stallions achieve their mission, they did it emphatically with a 50-7 beatdown of the reigning conference champions. Senior quarterback Jordan Dennis Jordan Dennis 5’9″ | 165 lbs | QB South County | 2024 State VA led the charge throwing for 3 scores and 338 yards while adding 1 touchdown on the ground. The young man was unstoppable and had the Stallions offense clicking on all cylinders, I hope this leads to him getting more respect as he has earned it.
George Hall
George Hall
Sophomore quarterback George Hall III, broke out this past Thursday in a big way in Colgan’s dominating performance over Osbourn Park. Five total touchdowns (4 through the air) has to have Coach Scott and his staff feeling really confident in their playoff chances, I broke down what I enjoyed most about Hall’s performance last week:
What seemed to elevate his game was that he wasn’t just locking in on star receiver Tyler Henry, he was spreading the ball out to multiple receivers and running backs. I think that will be a key for Colgan as they begin conference play, everyone knows how good Henry is and will most likely key on him. If Hall can do what he did last night, then bet on the Sharks reaching the playoffs.rnhttp://www.hudl.com/v/2LXptp
In case you haven’t noticed, the Battlefield Bobcats have made very light work of their first four opponents. Winning by an average margin of over 40 points, the Bobcats have proven they are for real and will be heard from come playoff time. Besides the usual suspects (the Binkowski brothers), a new standout has emerged in sophomore quarterback Calum O’Shea Calum O’Shea 6’2″ | 190 lbs | QB Battlefield | 2026 State VA . The gunslinger has been on a terror to start his 2023 season throwing for 6 touchdowns in Battlefield shutout over Woodbridge last week. You read that right, 6 touchdown passes as a sophomore, you can see why the Bobcats are finally on everyone’s radar. At 6’1 O’Shea has a calming presence under center, he delivers a great deep ball and can stand in to take a hit in the pocket.
