Its been a minute since we wrote on Virginia Academy Linebacker Tristan Lux Tristan Lux 6'1" | 250 lbs | EDGE Saint James Academy | 2026 State VA and since we last did, his star is gaining more recognition. Many FCS schools have lined up visits for him and Lux will be looking to capitalize on his breakout sophomore campaign were he notched 13.5 sacks! Playing both linebacker and defensive end for the Patriots, I wouldn’t be surprised if he is moved toward middle linebacker this fall with the amount of new talent Coach Woods  has coming in. Regardless of where they line him up do not expect to see his sack number decrease this dude always finds a way to the quarterback.

Nicknamed “The Hulk” for a reason, the sophomore linebacker has been a relentless warrior for the VA Academy Patriots all season early on.  Already performing at a high level for the Patriots, he ticked that up a notch in their victory over Central Virginia when he accounted for 5.5 sacks! That is not a misprint, he had over 5 sacks in one game, that is a historic number. Lux was all over the field on Saturday and in his team’s 63-0 shutout proved once again that VA Academy is on to something out there in Ashburn.

A name to remember for the class of 2026 is Tristan Lux Tristan Lux 6'1" | 250 lbs | EDGE Saint James Academy | 2026 State VA , he will soar up ranking boards across the country very soon. The way he has played so far in 2023, if he doesn’t then we need to rewatch the tape.

The sophomore to be for the newly formed VA Academy is going to have an impact early for the Patriots defense. Getting to know the young man he seems to settling in nicely at his new school, which will only be more nightmares for their upcoming opponents. Lux is a stout outside linebacker/defensive end who has the footwork and speed in his coverage and strength go up against some of the best offensive tackles in the state. A student of the game Lux is in impact this fall will not be missed as he is coming into his own, do not be surprised to see him lead the Patriots in sacks.
