Expert Analysis

Colgan’s George Hall improved each season under center for the Sharks and was a few decimal points of leading the Sharks to the playoffs. Hall’s accuracy and range got better each season since he took over right before his sophomore campaign in 2023. More of a pocket passer with sneaky speed, Hall threw for 28 touchdowns in 2025! Playing in a tough Cardinal District he was responsible for their comeback win over Brooke Point and their statement win over Osbourn. While his time at Colgan has come to an end, I assure you he will be playing at the next level very soon.

The Colgan Sharks had a tremendous/thrilling win over Osbourn and George Hall was on point. The longtime starting quarterback was poised and cool in the pocket all evening accounting for 300 all purpose yards. In a shoutout for Coach White’s debut he needed his qb to be careful with the football and calm under duress and Hall passed the test. This win could go a long way for Colgan’s playoff chances, the Sharks look rejuvenated under Coach White.

The constant development of quarterback George Hall will be on full display this fall, the three year starter has made quite the name for himself in the Cardinal district. Last season he earned First Team All First Team All-Purpose for the Sharks offense, in a conference that had four quarterbacks go to the next level, that stat alone is impressive. Heading into his final year Hall and company know the tasks in front of them. Hall has been all over the state working on his craft this off-season, he should be taking snaps under center at the next level in 2026.

Colgan’s George Hall is underrated and has been one of the best quarterbacks in Virginia for the past two seasons. I could tell just by watching him sling it during the 1v1s Hall is due for some attention at the next level. The dual threat qb has a chance to play at the Divsion 2 level or higher and honestly with his GPA and SAT scores may find him in the Patriot League too.

has consistently been one of the better qbs in Virginia for the past two seasons. While he heads into his senior year with a bit of uncertainty, Hall is not to be ignored and can play Division 2 or higher football. He has a good frame at 6’2 and 210 lbs., and he stands tall in the pocket. Not afraid of throwing on the run, Hall ranked 10th in the 2026 quarterback group from a year ago. A big senior season will get him more opportunities at the next level, currently it seems appears VMI is interested and why shouldn’t they be.

Hall helped Colgan get back to .500 with a monster performance against Osbourn Park. Throwing for 314 yards with 4 touchdowns, Hall was in his bag Friday night! This Colgan squad is a playoff worthy team, how Hall progresses throughout the season will be key. If he keeps shredding defenses like he did last week, I think the Sharks will make the playoffs for the first time in school history.

to make the leap and judging by his pre-season work he looks more than ready. Hall looks bigger and faster from a year ago where he nearly lead the Sharks to their first playoff appearance in school history. While he has new playmakers on offense, do not expect this to slow down Hall’s progress, he is a top ten ranked quarterback for good reason.

. Starting as a sophomore a year ago, Hall took the Cardinal District by storm and become one of our top ranked quarterbacks in his class.
Colgan replaces a lot of firepower on offense but Hall is still there ready to drop dimes and make defenders pay. I firmly believe this kid can play at the next level, now it is time for him to lead the Sharks to the playoffs for the first time in school history.

will not be on many college coaches radars very soon. The way he finished last season, the Sharks know they have something special with Hall. Hall has a calming presence and did a great job stepping as a sophomore to nearly lead Colgan on a playoff run (they were 1 game out). He really improved as the season wore in both his accuracy and decision making, no reason not to think he can take his game to the next level this fall.
