Vance County accepted the challenge as the game was decided in the final minute of the game. Vance County secured the victory over Southern Durham, with a 14 - 12 decision. The players listed in this review caught my attention throughout the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Vance County HS</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='414021' first='Taeshawn' last='Alston'] - DL, 6'4" 205 (No. 4 DL, No. 9 Overall)</strong>. Taeshawn was quick out of his stance to make contact with blockers while moving past them for stops. He used his exceptional quickness and athleticism to move past blockers, unblocked on several plays. He displayed very good technique and violent hands to control blockers. Taeshawn displayed exceptional speed to run down the ball carrier on a couple of plays. He is the dominant player on the defensive line and kept constant pressure on the quarterback. Taeshawn has received several Power5 and D1 offers, more are expected to come in for him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Maurice Jackson - DL, 5'11" 270</strong>. Maurice displayed good footwork and technique to control blockers while moving past them for stops. He displayed good technique on tackles made in the open field. He moved well in tight spaces to stop inside running plays. Maurice is a solid prospect who should start to receive recruiting interest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1050728' first='Zymere' last='Taylor'] - DL, 6'0" 230</strong>. Zymere displayed good footwork and technique to control blockers while moving past them for stops. He displayed good technique on tackles made in the open field.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='947145' first='Antoine' last='Doyle Jr.'] - LB, 6'1" 190 (No. 15 LB, Watchlist)</strong>. Antoine displayed good lateral movement and speed to cover ground quickly to close in on the ball carrier. He displayed patience to let the play develop before reacting quickly to make stops. He displayed good technique on tackles made in the open field. Antoine has been on a few unofficial visits and the recruiting interest should speed up for him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1050742' first='Ronald' last='Rainey III'] - DB, 5'11" 185</strong>. Ronald displayed good speed and the ability to change directions quickly while covering receivers. He displayed good technique and good use of arms while defending passes. He displayed good technique on tackles made in the open field. Khalil displayed good speed and the ability to change directions quickly while covering receivers. Tyrek displayed good speed and the ability to change directions quickly while covering receivers. He displayed good technique and good use of arms while defending passes, making it difficult to make a completion. He is a physical defensive back. Tyrek is the leader of the defensive secondary and should start to receive recruiting interest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Southern Durham HS</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='615368' first='Isaiah' last='Campbell'] - DL, 6'5" 265 (No. 2 DL, No. 4 Overall)</strong>. Isaiah displayed very good technique and violent hands to control blockers while moving past them for stops. He displayed quickness and upper body strength to overpower blockers while moving into the backfield to disrupt plays. He uses his length and athleticism to apply constant pressure on the quarterback, making it difficult to contain him. Isaiah has received several Power5 and D1 offers, more are expected to come in for him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='308521' first='KJ' last='Liles'] - DL, 6'4" 285 (No. 8 DL, No. 77 Overall)</strong>. KJ displayed good technique and good use of hands to control blockers while moving past them for stops. He moved well in tight spaces to stop inside running plays. Kristopher displayed good lateral movement and speed to cover ground quickly to close in on the ball carrier. He displayed patience to let the play develop before reacting quickly to make stops. He displayed good technique on tackles made in the open field.
