The weight of movement within the top 25 prospects in South Dakota carries significant value and even moving up a little by next update, shows even more growth and upside.
Cole Ruesink Cole Ruesink 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Dell Rapids | 2025 State SD , ATH, Dell Rapids Twitter
- #25 overall in SD, #4 ranked athlete in SD.
You can tell from the tale of the tape of Dell Rapids 2025 athlete Cole Ruesink Cole Ruesink 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Dell Rapids | 2025 State SD that this young man has to be one of the fastest prospects 11A has to offer in the 2025 class, as Cole just flies off his routes and doesn’t just have the fluid speed either, he certainly has the football instincts to make the tough catches on tape consistently. Cole is a huge redzone threat off the left edge at tailback as well, as he uses his agility and quick short burst to show off that mix of speed and change of direction to consistently give himself ample separation. Cole moves up 6 spots to #25 overall from #31.
Brady Witte Brady Witte WR Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD , WR/ATH Sioux Falls Christian
- #24 overall in SD, #5 ranked WR in SD
The sure skillset that has popped out for Brady from his sophomore season, is the vision that this young man runs with has significantly improved. At 6’1 190 pound Brady shows off ingrained athletic movement especially when going from high-traffic areas to finding the open field as he also shows multiple views of patience from his early junior tape that allow steady progression with his running ability. Brady also plays with a growing football IQ that has multiple assets of contributing to the Chargers offense. Brady moved up 14 spots to #24 overall.
Isaac Ostrem Isaac Ostrem 6'3" | 200 lbs | LB Harrisburg | 2025 State SD , LB, Harrisburg Twitter
- #23 overall in SD, #2 ranked linebacker in SD
The finishing length that 6’3 200 pound linebacker Isaac Ostrem Isaac Ostrem 6'3" | 200 lbs | LB Harrisburg | 2025 State SD shows off is what locked me in on his tape from the first four weeks. As a former wide receiver, Isaac has the understanding with his footwork in pass coverage as his tape shows reactive instincts with that great size tracking down the ball with plenty of length in the passing lanes that can be tough to manage for smaller defenders. Isaac also has very smooth pursuit angles when coming off the edge as he has excellent vision that just collapses downhill with the best positioning to the ball carrier. He also shows promising upside with growth of his hands and the moves he can create with them. Certainly looks like another prospect you will see playing on Saturday’s out of the hotbed of Harrisburg. One of the biggest stockrisers on our list today, Isaac moves up 37 spots to #23 overall from #60.
Boston Katzer Boston Katzer 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Lennox | 2025 State SD , QB, Lennox Twitter
- #21 overall in SD, #3 ranked quarterback in SD
Boston is a quarterback prospect I could see the upside brewing last year at McCook Central-Montrose, but he has proved the move over to Lennox connecting with South Dakota hoops commit Porter Ihnen Porter Ihnen 6'5" | 190 lbs | WR Lennox | 2024 SD certainly has proven that upside we saw as a sophomore with the Fighting Cougars. Where has Boston developed most since last update? By far it’s the poise his carries in the pocket as I have been super impressed by the chemistry he already has with his Orioles receving core as a QB prospect that has been named a top performer for the last several weeks. Boston has also excelled with his precise ball placement, as he always throws it right in the basket to advance his wide receiver upfield with a clear path in the open field. It’s no wonder why this young man has started to accumulate some Division I FCS interest, as the Dakota’s programs love the developmental 6’3 165 pound quarterback like Boston to groom up and down I-29 in my eyes in this 2025 class. Boston is a BIG mover up 32 spots to #21 overall.
Connor Harrison Connor Harrison 6'3" | 265 lbs | OL Lead-Deadwood | 2025 State SD , OL/DL, Deadwood-Lead Twitter
- #19 overall in SD, #5 ranked Offensive Line in SD
Connor has impressed me with his mid-season tape with his versatility, but I can certainly tell that Connor has improved his foot speed since I saw him at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Spring. He shows more explosion in short space on tape and certainly shows out when he pull blocks as he has more fluidity in his feet than before. Defensively, I have seen Connor’s vision improve in the trenches as he shows more reactive agility when his body changes direction. Moves up 11 spots to #19 overall.
Landon Dulaney Landon Dulaney 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Brandon Valley | 2025 State SD , WR, Brandon Valley Twitter
- #6 overall in SD, New #1 overall wide receiver in SD
The fluidity of Landon’s route-running is very eye-catching from it’s first look. He shows off such instinctive agility, the average eyes would have a difficult time seeing the twitch that he has with his change of direction. Landon will win every footrace on deep routes, as this young man’s track background is impressive and on tape shows off the separation he can get with his high stamina and persistent speed that carries balanced into the end zone. He also shows off well-noted awareness with his route-running, as a wide receiver prospect that will adjust to the ball angle swiftly as it comes his way. The glue Landon has in his hands with his catch radius is another reason why we made him our new #1 wide receiver in South Dakota, as Division I schools should buy stock early in this young man.
