Matt Maxey
Matt Maxey
Matt Maxey has emerged as a dependable wide receiver to get open and rack up the yards after catch for a potent scoring offense. Maxey is a hard-cutting route runner to gain separation from defenders with his quick twitch movements. Primarily plays in the slot, has the full playbook open to his abilities with routes. Plays well over the middle of the field where he is able to pull in passes and turn up field. Effective on the outside at running screen plays, is shifty in limited space to find openings in the defense to work up field. Has a good sense of pressure when eluding defenders, a danger with green space in front of him to score. Keeps his body low coming out of cuts to push off even harder for space, has the quick reaction to catch passes already in flight to him. Is a clean runner with a tight form for good 4.5 speed. Is a multisport athlete with a background in baseball as well to keep him training in the football offseason. Plays on the defensive side of the ball as well as a Maxey is a quarterback’s best friend with his reliable hands and understanding of his routes to catch passes on schedule.

Cole Kepner
Cole Kepner
Cole Kepner is an athletic playmaker with a nose for the end zone with five scores in the first five games of his junior season. Kepner is a disciplined route runner with the speed to stretch the field at the top of his route. Uses his 4.4 speed to get behind defenders for big play ability, is most dangerous around midfield where he can run effective routes towards the red zone. Shows good ability to go up and bring down contested balls with aggressive hands. Has a physical style to his play to win one-on-one battles against defenders. Plays in the secondary as well, keeps good footwork to keep close on his man. Maintains active hands with the ball in the air with the ability to knock down passes. Is most dangerous in the third level, can make good plays at the first level as well on quick passes to keep the chains moving. Kepner plays on the outside and does a good job getting blocks in to support the run game. He does a number of things well to keep his offense moving when his number is called.

Trent Hrabnicky
Trent Hrabnicky
Trent Hrabnicky is a high-motor player that makes the most of every possession he is a part of. Hrabnicky is a player that can slip past defenders with his quickness on passing plays to follow his route towards open space. Has a smaller frame which allows him to adjust to the ball to square himself for yardage after the catch. Has soft hands to bring in passes across his body while on the move. Plays over the middle of the field effectively by using his speed off the line to gain an advantage against soft coverage. Catches everything thrown in his area and is a very reliable target in passing situations. Is very effective at the first level and at screens to read blocks and work up field. He’s a dangerous special teams player, gets involved in the return game with his speed to flip the field. On an offense that is opening up the pass game as the weeks go on, Hrabnicky is a tricky target to contain. His usage is a big part of his team’s success moving the ball up and down the field.

Owen Singleton
Owen Singleton
Owen Singleton has taken over the running game in a big way with a statement game last week with 172 yards and four scores on the ground. Stepping up in his sophomore season to bring his physical game to varsity, Singleton has a nice combination of burst and strength to move the ball. Running out of the triple option offense, he steps out as a quick hitting back that hits holes quickly and has the burst to smash into the second level. Shows good top end speed to get big yardage past linebackers. Is a downhill runner, able to make short cuts and keep moving up field. Is a slippery target to take down, keeps his shoulders squared and low to maintain good balance to keep moving past arm tackles. Shows a good reaction time to slip past linebackers, oftentimes has the speed to leave defensive backs in his wake. Plays behind a big offensive line and shows a high level of trust taking short snaps to burst through large and small holes along the line. Singleton is a young and exciting player that plays well within an offense suited to his skillset.
