6’1″, 218-pounds. Samuel says that his goals for this season is to keep getting better and learning the system with a team goal of winning a state championship.
What separates Samuel from other offensive linemen in the state is his technique and good hand placement. He attended camps this past summer at the University of Arkansas, the University of Arkansas Linemen Camp, UCA, Arkansas State and Arkansas Tech University. He plans on attending camps next summer at the University of Arkansas, the University of Oklahoma and the University of Missouri.
Samuel’s strengths are his hand placement and aggressiveness. He shows his leadership on the field by keeping his teammates motivated, keeping their heads up and keeping them focused. What Samuel loves about playing football is the atmosphere on Friday nights and the brotherhood with his teammates. He looks up to teammates offensive lineman Matt Obar and left offensive guard Matthew Crosby. Samuel also looks up to offensive line and linebacker coach Jacob Hattabaugh. What Samuel brings to his team is his personality and keeping everyone positive.
Head coach Doc Crowley says that Samuel has a very high ceiling, he is still growing and maturing as a player, as you would expect with any Sophomore.. He has great potential If he continues to work hard. He started his first game last Friday night and really did a good job. He has great hands for a big man we and we are looking forward to see how he continues to progress on and off the field.
As a Scout I feel that Samuel has unlimited potential as he continues to learn as his high school career continues.
