Highlights
Mcrae enters into our WL rankings, and is a name to note down the stretch of the season and heading into this off-season. He is a physically imposing interior pass rusher with heavy hands, good leverage at the POA and plays with a high motor at all times. He can redirect and chase down ball carriers between the tackles, while shooting his hands quickly and showing good lower body power when taking on drive blocks/double teams inside. Playing for one of the top teams across the western region, he should be a very impressive player for Saguaro down the stretch as he continues to grow and progress.
Washingotn is off to a great start of his high school career, and is making a impact on Varsity for the bears as only a second year player at the prep level. He is a heavy handed interior rusher that can eat double teams with good leverage/power and shows that he can snap out of his stance and strike while resetting the LOS consistently. Winning with pad level leg drive and heavy hands, he is a high IQ kid for his age that recognizes blocks quickly and can quickly get off after locking out. Checking into our WL rankings, he is someone that could enter into our defensive line rankings sooner rather than later.
Highlights
King is a very impressive second year player that plays the nose position in the middle of the three-down chandler defense and does a nice job at using his length to get off blocks and collapse the pocket. A true plug in the middle of the defense, he has some length and uses it well while showing a powerful bull rush and enough athleticism to two-gap when needed while eating up blocks at the first level. Look for King to be another prospect that will enter our rankings sooner rather than later as he is making a big impact on one of the top teams in the western region.
