The Butler Bulldogs had a dominant performance this past Friday Night with an impressive 49-6 victory over the Providence Panthers on Homecoming Night for the Bulldogs. Several players had standout performances, let's take a look at some of them from an offensive perspective.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='781303' first='Jayden' last='Williams'] - Butler - I came into this game knowing Williams was talented, but after a 183-yard rushing and 3 Touchdown performance, I think he is among the Top 5 best running backs in Charlotte. His vision on interior runs was superior, and he ran with both power and speed for multiple big plays. At 5'10 and 190 pounds, he is a Class of 2025 prospect.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='351827' first='Zach' last='Lawrence'] - Butler - The highly touted quarterback threw two touchdown passes, but I felt like his command of the Butler offense was at a very high level. They operate primarily from a no-huddle high-tempo style, and Lawrence does a great job at organization with all of his personnel, motions, etc... In this game I thought he did a good job recognizing reads pre-snap and taking what the defense gave him. He showed off good arm strength on short and intermediate routes all night long. At 6'1 and 195 pounds, he is a Class of 2025 prospect.

ATH Dequadre Currence - Butler - This kid was all over the field - running back, where he scored a rushing touchdown, wide receiver - where he caught multiple passes; screens, and downfield routes, and he was a dynamic punt returner - with a long punt return that helped set up a short touchdown run on the next play from scrimmage. He has great speed and quick twitch ability as a Class of 2025 prospect standing at 5'10 and 160 pounds.

TE Connor Shelton - Providence - At 6'1 and 210 pounds, I always thought Connor was a strong in-line blocker as a tight end, but he really impressed me with his route running, catching, and speed in this new spread passing attack that Providence has employed this season. His long catch and run set up the only TD of the night for the Panthers at the end of the 2nd quarter. Connor is a Class of 2024 prospect.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='620328' first='Jackson' last='Debe'] - Providence - This was my first time seeing Jackson this season in a new offense, and I was very impressed with his pocket presence and athletic ability to escape pressure. When he had time to throw, he showed an impressive arm with great strength and velocity, especially on in-breaking routes. Standing at 6'3 and 190 pounds, he is a major talent at the QB position and being a Class of 2026 prospect, it is exciting to see him continue to develop and grow into a special player.
