#1 West Linn @ #3 Lake Oswego (WLINN -20.5)

Lake O is so well coached that there is a possibility they hang around with West Linn, but don't count on it. QB [player_tooltip player_id='285866' first='Liam' last='Davis'] and RB [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] are two of the top underclassmen in the state. That said as the Lions just got done destroying Washington 4A State Champ Lake Stevens, for the 2nd year in a row, as I don't see anyone in the NW other than CC being able to compete.

Reynolds @ #2 Central Catholic (CC -54.5)

As noted, the Rams will likely be bored for the next month & a half.

#8 Lakeridge @ #4 Tualatin (TUAL -13.5)

[player_tooltip player_id='152355' first='AJ' last='Noland'] will take over at QB with Junior standout [player_tooltip player_id='285857' first='Nolan' last='Keeney'] going down. It makes sense that the state's most versatile kid would move into the quarterback roll, as you definitely want the ball in his hands, but it also hurts and takes away a crucial piece of the T-Wolves arsenal. Regardless Tualatin is playing good football, trouncing a decent Jesuit team 42-17 last week. Lakeridge has been unimpressive & will get a chance to prove themselves with the brutal TRL schedule.

Century @ #5 Sherwood (SHER -36)

Statistically Sherwood has a chance to be one of the best defense's ever if they can continue with the shutouts or something close to it. Pacific Conference POY favorite [player_tooltip player_id='278398' first='Kasen' last='Covert'] leads a good offense, but the D could help them win a couple playoff games. This game should be over early.

#6 Jesuit @ Aloha (JES- 52.5)

It couldn't be much worse at Aloha, losing there last 23 games over three years. Jesuit might put up 50 in the first half.

#7 Oregon City @ #9 Tigard (OC-3.5)

Definitely one of the best games of the night. The Tigers are undefeated but have barely beaten average teams. OC has played a light preseason schedule as well, only giving up 12 total points in their first 4 games. Something has to give with both teams starting the TRL gauntlet.

Roseburg @ #10 Sheldon (SHEL -29)

Sheldon has destroyed sub-par competition the last two weeks, by a combined score of 113-25. Roseburg just lost to Sprague, one of those teams the Irish crushed, so it could be a long night for the Indians.

West Salem @ #11 South Salem (SSALEM -10)

I could see West hanging around and making a game of this with their cross-town rival. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='769995' first='Evan' last='Wusstig'] has been off the charts good this year, scoring 4 TDs last week. Look for the Saxons to continue and put-up points in what looks to be the only game remaining on their regular season schedule with the potential of being competitive.

Westview @ #12 Mountainside (MTSIDE -21.5)

The Mavericks feature some of the most talented underclassmen in the state, led by 6-4 200-pound athlete [player_tooltip player_id='457009' first='Sam' last='Vyhlidal'] and breakout sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1094961' first='Jordan' last='Hicks']. Mountainside barely got by Newberg last week 23-21 but should handle Westview. The Wildcats have been playing better than expected after a tough start.

#13 South Medford @ Sprague (SMED -16)

South needs a bounce back game after an ugly loss at home to South Salem. They have a talented line with size, and numerous skill kids, but they have not been consistent. If the Oly's hang around that's an issue.

#14 Nelson @ Clackamas (NELS -2)

This could be one of the better games of the night, likely determining the #2 seed in the Mt Hood, with the Cavs 18-7 win over Barlow last week. Nelson's two losses were to the #1 and #2 team in the state, so they have seen the best.

Grants Pass @ #15 North Medford (NMED -28)

North has been playing good ball, ever since that ugly week 1 loss to Tigard. They still have a chance to win the SWC with upcoming games against Sheldon and South Medford. GP has not looked good.
