Mason Bray Mason Bray 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Saguaro | 2024 State AZ , QB, Saguaro ’24: Bray has been having a great year for Saguaro leading them to 2-0. He’ll face his toughest test of his career this week against the defending champs vs Basha. Having Basha enter the contest coming off a close loss last week, you have to believe they’ll be coming in with something to prove, but so will Bray.
Christian Clark Christian Clark 6'0" | 195 lbs | ATH Mountain Pointe | 2024 State AZ , RB, Mountain Pointe ’24: The Texas commit was one of the most exciting recruits to follow all of last offseason, as he saw his recruiting stock sky rocket off the charts. He’ll face one of the best defenses in the state that nobody has really been able to bust loose on yet.
Marcel Jones Marcel Jones 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Saguaro | 2026 State AZ , QB, Chaparral ’26: The dual threat sophomore QB will get a big test this week against a stout Desert Mountain defense. Jones has a ton of tools in the box flashing a quick release, velocity/touch, speed, twitch, and a lot more. They suffered a tough loss week 1 vs O’Connor, but bounced back last week where Jones lit it up. A young QB stepping into a hostile environment with something to prove is always something worth keeping an eye on.
Tayejion Player Tayejion Player 5'7" | 160 lbs | RB Millennium | 2025 AZ , RB, Millennium ’25: Player has emerged as a promising young RB with a ton of potential to continue to be that breakout player this season and rise his stock. He’s shown terrific vision with burst and speed to hit open lanes with a purpose and hit a second year when he reaches the next level. He’s a big part on the 2-0 start for Millennium and we’ll see if he can keep that momentum going this week against a well coached 6A Perry squad.
Christian Camarata Christian Camarata 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Brophy | 2025 State AZ , WR, Brophy ’25: As I predicted earlier this offseason, Camarata is having a solid year for Brophy and is doing everything he needs to see a jump in his stock. Quickly developing kid that is a route technician displaying excellent twitch, burst, and football IQ to find and sit in soft spots or recognize man coverage and utilize instincts to beat Man. A big matchup for him this week against a super competitive Sunnyslope team.
Charlie McGinnis Charlie McGinnis 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Brophy College Preparatory | 2024 AZ , QB, Brophy ‘24: Along with Camarata, McGinnis is another Brophy kid that could prove a lot this week vs a tough opponent vs Sunnyslope. This game has shootout potential considering both teams explosive players on the offensive side of the ball. He really stepped up after the close week 1 loss against Williams Field, so it’ll be interesting to see if he can turn it on again this Friday.
Luke Moga Luke Moga 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Sunnyslope | 2024 State AZ , QB, Sunnsylope ’24: Moga has been having a good year, which has been expected from the Oregon commit. They’ve haven’t had the start they had hoped for though entering the contest 1-1 with a week 1 loss against Cactus and a close win last week against Apollo. Moga is that competitive leader you look for and possesses all the tools and traits to go along with it, so it’ll be interesting to watch and see if he can create a spark for Sunnyslope vs a solid 6A program against Brophy.
