Exciting Week 3 around the Northwest/West Georgia Area. The headliner was the Carrollton Trojans beating the Rome Wolves 33-13 on Friday at Barron Stadium. A few teams saw their stock rise after impressive performances. The Dalton Catamounts, Villa Rica Wildcats and the Ringgold Tigers most notably. Here are a few of the names that stood out to us in Week 3.

[player_tooltip player_id='401535' first='Kimauri' last='Farmer']-RB-'26 Carrollton Trojans

The #1 ranked RB in the 2026 class by PrepRedZone. Friday night in Rome was the 1st time I had seen him in person. The 5'10 175 Sophomore was thrown into the RB1 spot early in the Trojans 1st game of the season when Trojan's star Senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='335441' first='Bryce' last='Hicks'] went down with a season ending injury. He has good vision and is a patient runner that keeps up to speed quick with a good 1st step. Has the toughness to run North South but also the speed to get the ball around the edges. Has good hands out of the backfield, which is a good thing considering he is playing with the Nations #1 2026 QB [player_tooltip player_id='206164' first='Julian' last='Lewis']. He was the offensive MVP of the game Friday night rushing for 198 yards and had 3 receptions for 18 yards with 3 total touchdowns in a 33-13 over the 6A Top 10 Rome Wolves. P5 potential.

Rishard Sullivan-DT-'24 Rome Wolves

The 6'0 245 DT gave Mr. Lewis, and the Trojans fits all game. Quick for his size and gets off the ball fast. Tough to block at the line of scrimmage and does a good job shedding blocks. High motor that can chase from sideline to sideline and plays with a mean streak. A 2nd Team All Region guy last season for the Wolves and may be the Diamond in the Rough DT recruit for a team that sports D1 guys all across the defensive line.

Jaiden Terry-Ath-'24 Villa Rica Wildcats

The 5'9 164 Senior Athlete contributed in a big way in all 3 phases of the game Friday night in the Wildcat upset of a ranked Northgate team. Terry had over 100 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns and several long returns on special teams. A lockdown cornerback that is very good in one-on-one coverage. What stands out when you watch his tape is his ability to change direction in traffic. Shifty that is hard to bring down on initial contact. Not afraid to put his head down and run North/South. Multisport athlete that runs track in the offseason and is one to evaluate if you are looking for an all-around athlete that competes against a high level of competition to join your team next Fall.

Bryson Shrader-QB-'25 Dade County

The 6'1 160 Junior QB had a very efficient night on Friday going 6 of 8 with 225 yards and 4 TDs in a 55-13 win over North Sand Mountain. He has a good delivery and seems to throw the deep ball with relative ease. Accurate downfield and has the arm strength to put some juice on the screens and slants. I saw this guy back in the Spring and knew he had the potential to have a breakout season this year as he stepped into the QB1 role. A guy to put on your radar as the Wolverines will be competing for a postseason spot in Region 7A.

[player_tooltip player_id='137476' first='Reece' last='Fountain']-QB-'24 Rome Wolves

The 4-year starter for the Wolves has been one of the most prolific passers in the NWGA area over the last 4 seasons. The final score didn't show it Friday night, but Reece had an outstanding game against one of the top defenses in the State. He went 29 of 44 for 331 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 10 times for 39 yards and added a rushing TD. With 4 years as QB1 under his belt, he is very poised in the pocket. He has the awareness to make plays with his feet and a quick release to get the ball out fast. Tough, fearless runner. Fountain holds several college offers with the most recent coming from Jacksonville State. His hudl film will not be available until seasons end, team rule, but worth the trip to Rome to see him and evaluate live.
