Highlights
Park continued his productive start to the season with 14 total tackles (8 solo), 3 TFLs, and 2 sacks in Reed’s 38-24 win over Faith Lutheran. Nevada’s leading tackler is averaging 13 tackles/game with 3 TFLs and 2 sacks through three games. He’s an athletic ILB with great range and physicality at 6’/206. Reed hosts Hug on Friday before an intriguing matchup with Douglas on 9/14.
Smalley set a physical tone in Douglas’ 31-0 shutout of Spring Creek. He’s totaled 10+ tackles in each of the team’s three wins with the defense allowing only 9 total points and two shutouts. He showed his sideline-to-sideline ability and powerful punch when attacking blockers downhill. Douglas travels to Damonte Ranch (2-1) on Friday.
McGlothen was extremely disruptive on the front-seven in Silverado’s 24-16 loss to Foothill, totaling 12 tackles (10 solo), 4 TFLs, and 2 sacks. The Nevada-commit looked extremely explosive off the snap and dominated his 1v1 matchups. McGlothen continues to cement his status as NV’s #1 2024 DL.
Maxx Ellermeyer
Maxx Ellermeyer
Ellermeyer had a productive outing in Truckee’s 20-17 win over Damonte Ranch with 16 tackles (12 solo) and 5 TFLs. He’s a savvy ball-tracker that can finesse his way into the backfield and close on ball-carriers with bursty acceleration. Ellermeyer looks on track to finish among the state’s leading tacklers again this season.
