Jed’s Top 3 Games To Look Out For: Week 2

Week 1 had some fantastic games. It feels great to get back to Football. He is the recap of my top 3 Games from Week One. First, we have the Lakeview Vikings and the Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays. Ashland would take a quick 14-3. The Bluejays would take the rest of the game scoring another two touchdowns to win 28-3. I was at the second game between Bennington and Skutt and it was electric. The Game was back and forth with both teams doing great on the offensive and defensive line. I have a Game report coming out soon with the details on the Badger's last-second 14-13 win over the Skyhawks. The Final Game of Week One was between Kearney and Lincoln East. Kearney strikes first going up 6-0 in the first not long before Lincoln East went on a 21-point streak in the second. Kearney would score again putting Lincoln East up 21-13 at half. Kearney would take the 3 scores personally exploding the third quarter. The Bearcats have sealed the game and Win the game 41-28.   Top 3 Games for Week 2   Papillion-La Vista vs. Papillion-La Vista South   Every year the Papio Bowl is a must-see football. One of the most exciting rivalries in all of Nebraska. This game has gone back and forth so many times over the last few years. In the last few years, Papio-South leads the series 3-2. These games are always high-scoring affairs that just entertain and show all the talent that is there on the field. Papillion will be led by players like Tavien Pritle who had 6 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Along with him, they have Payton Prestitio as a running back who has had 2 touchdowns and 19 carries for 134 yards. For the Papio South Titans, they have players like QB [player_tooltip player_id='703294' first='Sam' last='Schuler'] who had 318 passing yards for 3 touchdowns along with 114 yards rushing for 2 more touchdowns. They also have solid players in RB [player_tooltip player_id='402147' first='Derek' last='Jones'] along with WR [player_tooltip player_id='250676' first='Royceon' last='Skogerboe']. Jones has been dominant this season with 362 rushing yards on 31 carries and 7 total touchdowns. Both teams have solid defenses with the Titans being led by [player_tooltip player_id='703295' first='Kylan' last='Connor'] who has 24 tackles for 1 tackle for loss. The Monarchs are led by [player_tooltip player_id='362264' first='Kale' last='Johnson'] with 9 total tackles.   Players to look out for    Ashland Greenwood vs. Wahoo   Ashland has dominated this game winning the last 4 meetings between the Warriors and the Bluejays. Not every game has been a domination but even a few of the close games landed in Ashland-Greenwood's favor. Ashland this season has relied on its running game with [player_tooltip player_id='250440' first='Drake' last='Zimmerman'] leading the Bluejays rushing effort with 2 total touchdowns and 87 yards on the ground. [player_tooltip player_id='846298' first='Austyn' last='Cote'] leads the Bluejay defense with 13 tackles and a tackle for a loss. The Warriors have some solid talent this year as well. [player_tooltip player_id='1113952' first='Jase' last='Kaminski'] led the Warriors with 7 passes for 87 yards. Along with this, he had 45 rushing yards and a touchdown last week. [player_tooltip player_id='516765' first='Barrett' last='Lavaley'] leads the defense for the Warriors with 11 tackles and a tackle for loss. Ashland-Greenwood and Wahoo will be a great game to watch and I cannot wait to see the results.   Players to look out for    Boone Central vs. Aurora   Both of these teams are going into Friday undefeated. Another C1 game that could have implications for who ends up in Lincoln. Last season the Aurora Huskies had dominated the two games they had over Boone Central. The Cardinals are looking for revenge for these last few games. Aurora has been a top-tier team in both Class C and Class B. However they still have a solid roster led by [player_tooltip player_id='736420' first='Booker' last='Scheierman'] who has thrown 17 completions for 307 yards and 4 touchdowns along with 41 rushing yards and another 3 touchdowns. Along with Booker, they have [player_tooltip player_id='703729' first='Maddex' last='Egger'] in the backfield who rushed for 175 yards averaging 8 yards per carry. For the Cardinals, They have been led by WR [player_tooltip player_id='340512' first='Brant' last='Benes'] who has had 6 catches for 121 yards. Along with that [player_tooltip player_id='846302' first='James' last='Fogleman'] also has had 9 passes for 173 yards and another touchdown.
