Thursday night saw me head out to Omaha Central HS to watch the Eagles host their rivals, the Omaha North Vikings. The game started with the Vikings jumping out to a quick lead behind a Jaron Cannon TD run. From there both team’s defenses really buckled down and held the opposing offenses in check. A Sebastian Circo Sebastian Circo 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Millard North | 2025 FL to Deon Cooper Deon Cooper 6'0" | 195 lbs | ATH Omaha North | 2025 State NE extended the Viking’s lead going into the 4th quarter. The Eagles really woke up in the 4th quarter with a pair of BJ Newsome BJ Newsome 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Omaha Central | 2026 State NE to DaShawn Prince DaShawn Prince 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Omaha Central | 2026 State NE touchdown passes to take the 16-13 lead. Ultimately, the Vikings were able to put together a 2-minute drive that ended with Jaron Cannon’s second touchdown and a win.
Omaha North moved to 4-1 and will look to continue their hot streak against Omaha Northwest. Omaha Central fell to 2-3 and will look to get back on track against Creighton Prep.
Player of the Game:
Jaron Cannon | 2026 | RB | Omaha North | 5’10” 160 lbs
In the long line of tough, physical running backs at North, Jaron is the next man up! I don’t have an official stat line for him, but watching him run you can see every yard was earned. He’s a super physical runner who can pound away at a defense throughout the game, playing bigger than his 5’10” 160-pound frame. Jaron opened the scoring for the Vikings with a TD from inside the 5 and closed the game out with a game-winning touchdown from about the same spot. He does a great job finding creases and exploding through them with great burst. Cannon welcomes contact and will not hesitate to dish out a stiff arm or lower his pads to lay out a defender. The Vikings are going to be solid at RB for years to come.
Standout Players:
Sebastian Circo Sebastian Circo 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Millard North | 2025 FL | 2024 | QB | Omaha North | 6’0″ 170 lbs
North QB Sebastian Circo Sebastian Circo 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Millard North | 2025 FL really showed off his mental toughness in this game. Facing a 3-point deficit and a hostile environment, Sebastian was able to orchestrate the game-winning drive with some clutch throws. Throughout the game, Sebastian showed that he can deliver the ball with great timing and placement. He completed several passes into tight windows. One thing that is impressive about Sebastian is how well he processes the game and keeps moving through his reads. Sebastian holds offers from Syracuse, Miami, Penn State, Temple, Boston College, and Ole Miss with many more likely on the way for the 3-star QB.
Kylonn Hanie | 2027 | RB/LB | Omaha Central | 5’8″ 195 lbs
The Eagles’ freshman RB/LB Kylonn Hanie had a bit of a coming-out party under the bright Thursday night lights. Although Kylonn wasn’t able to find the endzone, he was a tremendous spark for the team on both sides of the ball. He electrified the offense with strong, hard-nosed runs totaling 76 yards on the ground. Hanie also helped the Eagles’ second-half momentum continue to build with a huge sack. Kylonn has great balance when taking on tackle attempts and loves to dish out some punishment as well. Expect Kylonn to continue making noise!
S’marious Henderson S’marious Henderson 6'3" | 295 lbs | DL Omaha North | 2024 State NE | 2024 | DL | Omaha North | 6’3″ 305 lbs

Although most of the attention on the DL goes to junior Tyson Terry Tyson Terry 6'2" | 270 lbs | DL Omaha North | 2025 State NE , S’marious’ impact on Thursday can not be overlooked! S’marious did an excellent job generating pressure at the line of scrimmage and helped keep the opposing QB unsettled through most of the game. One thing I noticed about Henderson, was how he was used in different spots on the DL. Typically S’marious plays defensive tackle but had several great plays at DE. He’s a strong individual who can move lineman at will and force his way into the pocket. Henderson does a great job using his hands to disengage from blocks. A lot more mobile and a lot quicker than last year. Still un-offered, S’marious is going to make a college team very happy!
DaShawn Prince DaShawn Prince 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Omaha Central | 2026 State NE | 2026 | WR | Omaha Central | 6’3″ 175 lbs
Sophomore DaShawn Prince DaShawn Prince 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Omaha Central | 2026 State NE is making up for lost time after a season-ending injury last season with a great start to year 2. Prince was at his best when his team needed him the most, hauling in a couple of 4th quarter touchdowns to give the Eagles the lead at the time. Watching Dashawn’s game, right away you notice how well he moves for someone his size. He’s very smooth when running his routes, has a great sense of finding soft spots in zone, and can beat man. DaShawn is also very tough to match up against in the redzone with his lengthy frame, leaping ability, and physicality. Dashawn ended the game with 7 receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Prince already has an offer from Nebraska… don’t be too surprised if he ends the season with a few more.
