2025 running back prospect [player_tooltip player_id='284908' first='Messiah' last='Smith'] (5'10" 180) was forced into quarterback duty with the foot injury to starting QB [player_tooltip player_id='245487' first='Sam' last='Boydston'] and did a phenomenal job. Smith, who told me he had never played QB before this game and had only practiced at the position during game week, really threw the ball well and completed 8 of 17 pass attempts for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns, one for 72 yards and one for 42 yards. He showed a strong arm and some nice touch for playing the position for the first time. However, what Messiah does best is run the ball, and did that 24 times for a 170 yards and a great 58 yard run for a score. The junior is a complete back who has great vision, timing, speed, cutting ability and power when he runs. He is also a good blocker and catches the ball very well out of the backfield. If that were not enough he is also a talented returner.

Senior TE [player_tooltip player_id='392791' first='Henry' last='Mohrmann'] ( 6'5" 200) was the main recipient of Smith's passes on the night as he hauled in the 75- yarder as one of his two receptions. The big tight end showed impressive speed in catching the deep pass and hitting an extra gear to cruise into the end zone. Mohrmann is a big target with great hands and has shown the ability to make tough catches for the Vikings. He is also a very blocker in their run game. Morhmann also contributed 9 tackles from his OLB spot on defense. A definite college prospect who has the ability to play on the next level.

Junior WR Everett Cui ( 5'7" 175) was the other weapon North utilized during the game both through the air and on the ground. Cui scored the Vikings first touchdown on a sweep around the left side for a 9-yard score. He was also on the receiving end of the 42-yard pass play for another touchdown. Cui finished the game with 2 receptions for 47 yards and 8 carries for 17 yards. The quick and shifty WR was impressive.

DE/LB [player_tooltip player_id='254474' first='Keylan' last='Mitchell'] (6'3" 245) is off to an outstanding senior season, and this game was no different as the big time defender totaled 19 tackles on the night with his physical play. Mitchell is always around the play and a nose for the ball. He has great size, good speed and plays downhill against the run, while showing good get off to put pressure on quarterbacks and make plays in the backfield. He can also drop in cover. He's a good overall athlete that could play multiple positions in college. Look for him to keep getting better and play his best ball in college

Another talented senior on defense for the Vikings was DL [player_tooltip player_id='172578' first='Anthony' last='Thompson'] (6'1" 250), who also had a nice night playing offensive guard. The D1 prospect Thompson showed his great motor getting after it on defense and contributing 9 total tackles on the night along with a sack, while putting pressure on the Summit offense on the evening. Ant is one of the quickest defensive linemen in the state and can get to the QB in a hurry, blow up plays or chase down runs.

Also, (6'0" 175) 2025 DB [player_tooltip player_id='1118534' first='Jordan' last='Clark'] had a good night against the pass and did his part to try and slow down the strong Falcon run game with his 5 tackles and pass coverage in helping limit big pass plays. Clark is one of the top athletes playing defensive back in his class. He has great speed and jumping ability. He's agile and very quick with good ball skills. Clark is just scratching the surface of his potential and continues to get better.
