There are Hog Mollies all over the country, but in the southeast part of this country, down in SEC (and ACC) country, the eighth-grade prospects look to be built a bit different than other places. Here are five that I feel college’s should be already looking at.
– To me, looks like the top 2028 Georgia offensive tackle that nobody seems to be talking about…yet. On film he has all the tools to become one of the best in country
– Elite size for an eighth-grade offensive tackle, already standing 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds (unverified) but he’s gotta be pretty close . Phenomenal frame and putting up big numbers in the weight room, reporting a 415-pound squat and 275-pound bench press
– Not just a big body, he can move. Quick and aggressive off the ball with a great first step. Also plays defensive tackle at a high level. does a great job of keeping a flat back and staying low at–and through–the point of contact
– If you were to Google “Kentucky offensive lineman” Blevins is the kid you’d expect to see. He’s the quintessential big dude from the Bluegrass State, complete with the mullet and the personality to instantly make you become a fan
– Blevins is a country strong kid, already standing a verified 6-foot-2 and 280 pounds. He’s no stranger to the weight room either, already squatting 465-pounds for reps and benching 265-pounds
– Long term Blevins looks like an interior guy that can create big holes for his backs. He’s the alpha on the offensive line for Northern Pulaski this year and playing left tackle. The Marrons have had quite a run on impressive offensive linemen, as Blevins takes over for elite 2027 offensive lineman Brady Hull Brady Hull 6’3″ | 280 lbs | OL Pulaski County | 2027 State KY who has moved and is dominating varsity ball as a freshman
Highlights
– It’s very, extremely, way too early, but at this point, Williams is my favorite offensive linemen in the Carolinas. Very likable kid with the athletic talent to back it up at 6-foot-3 and 260-pounds. Shows no signs of his growth plateauing and has an older brother that is 6-foot-8
– I have seen him play live a lot over the last calendar year and each time I come away impressed. He’s a humble kid that knows he has a bright future if he continues to work hard. Tremendous frame and would start varsity at most high school’s in the country right now as an eighth-grader
– For a big young man, Williams is super athletic too. This past June, he was covering a punt during Future Stars, and I saw him chase down a punt returner from across the field to make a tackle. More recently, lined up at running back for his 919 Chiefs team and ran 60 yards for a touchdown. Also a menace on the basketball court as a Center/Power Forward
– Studivant is one of the most fundamentally sound pre-high school offensive linemen in the country at this point, bar none. This doesn’t happen by coincidence, as he is trained by Damon Dawson of Hawgs vs. Dawgs ATL. Dawson played at North Carolina as a defensive lineman and tight end, before signing with the Indianapolis Colts as a Free Agent
– Studivant is up to 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds right now. Despite being 20-40 pounds lighter than some of the other mammoth’s in this write up, he is still equally as dominant on both sides of the ball
– His kick slide, punch and hand placement are on point. Does a great job at striking rushing defensive linemen in the chest, halting their momentum and giving him an opportunity re-anchor. Impressed by his foot work to stay in front of the opposition, while keeping a wide, strong base
– Year in and year out the 757 Colts from Virginia produce some of the best middle school prospects on the east coast. This year is no different with Thigpen headlining a group that is 2-0 on the young season, as of this write up
– A reclassed kid, there’s a lot to be excited about when looking at Thigpen and his 6-foot-6, 245-pound frame. His immense size alone is reason for optimism but he also plays with a bit of a mean streak. Another impressive point of emphasis is that there’s no real drop off between his pass blocking and run blocking ability at this point, which his pass blocking holding a bit of an edge
– He has a year to go before high school, but already has the attention of a number of big-time college programs. The future start Left Tackle already claims verbal offers from Penn State, Duke, Buffalo and his home-state Virginia Tech Hokies
