[player_tooltip player_id='612042' first='Dominic' last='Garzolini'] - South Vermillion - QB - 6'2" 205lbs - 2025

Garzolini has come out on fire to start the season. Big game after big game numbers-wise, but also looks really good doing it. He's big, strong, and stands out in the pocket. He's comfortable being front and center. He's able to navigate and move in the pocket with ease. He's got a big frame which allows him to have a high release and deliver a throw even when he's being hit. In the day and age where QBs typically look to run, Garzolini is your more traditional pocket passer. While he does have 4 rushing TDs on the year, he's in the negative for rushing yards. But, the flip side of that has been solely because he knows his game and where he's best, which is in the pocket. Currently completes over 65% of his throws while having already thrown for 1200 yards and 19 passing TDs. He's been pinpoint accurate, making big throws when he needs to, and standing in there to deliver rep after rep. South Vermillion is 4-1, with their loss being in Double OT where they put up 35 points. Garzolini is currently having one of the most impressive seasons out of anyone in the state and is still on the board. He looks good and has the frame to develop into a starter on Saturdays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1004813' first='Sean' last='Conley'] - Lakeland - RB - 5'11" 170lbs - 2026

Conley is ripping up my old conference (NECC) and doesn't have any ambitions of slowing down anytime soon. He's a quick, shifty, and slippery back who is hard to bring down. For as agile and as slippery as he is, he's just as equally quick. He explodes by defenders and has that special wiggle to make guys look silly in the open field. He's versatile and has soft hands so he can come out of the backfield and be a threat there as well. He's the fastest player on the field and time and time again I catch myself thinking he doesn't belong. He just stands out so blatantly with his speed, acceleration, ability to cut, and so on. He continues to accelerate the entire length of the field and sometimes the gap is 30 yards. Through 5 weeks they are 4-1 and Conley is a big reason as to why. His 905 rushing yards and 12 Touchdowns are both near the top in the state. I know he's going to get dinged for being 1A, but sometimes even the smallest schools have the best athletes and that's the case here. Conley is going to be special, so don't miss out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1004812' first='Avery' last='Cook'] - Concordia Lutheran - WR - 6'2" 185lbs - 2025

Cook has been unguardable to start the season and looks as good as anyone you'll see. He's on fire and playing with confidence you can see a mile away. He's got a fantastic frame with long arms and his catching radius is anything within his vicinity. He's scrappy and willing to be the guy 20 yards downfield blocking violently for a screenplay. His best quality so far has been that he's open even when he's not open. He finds a way. He'll come back to the ball and fight tooth and nail. He's crafty with the ball in his hands and isn't easy to bring down. Through the first 5 weeks of the season, he's sitting at just over 600 yards and 8 TDs. He's on pace to have well over 1,000 yards and double-digit TDs while continuing to develop into his lengthy and raw frame. Cook's ceiling is high and he's a fun watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='541889' first='Nick' last='Bartels'] - Covenant Christian - OL - 6'4" 270lbs - 2024

Bartels has been one of the most consistent linemen up front leading the way for Covenant Christian and hasn't gotten the respect he should. With his frame, size, consistency, and All-State awards, he'd be highly sought-after but for whatever reason has slipped through the cracks for way too long. Some university somewhere is going to land a future starting Center with a plethora of experience and knowledge to bring into the room. He's able to key out assignments and keep his line on the same page despite defenses throwing junk their way. Bartels just has the raw instincts needed to play up-front. He's got good reactions and does a good job of being consistent with his snaps. He's able to win 1 on 1 in the running game as well as get into pass protection while staying off his heels. All the raw abilities you're looking for in a recruit are there, and then he has some of the extras. Bartels is off to another strong start to the year clearing the way and looking even stronger than last year. His future is starting on Saturdays, but where is yet to be determined.

[player_tooltip player_id='632393' first='Izayveon' last='Moore'] - Lawrence North - RB - 5'8" 165lbs - 2027

Moore has burst onto the scene and he is just so much fun to watch. He came in right away in Week 1 and took the volume of the work and hasn't looked back, nor should he. He's a dynamic back who makes quick and good reads right at the line. He's got the speed to bounce it to the outside and the strength to withstand the interior of the line. He's a smaller back in terms of height and sometimes gets lost behind a lineman until he explodes through the backside and the defense has no way to recover. He's able to change direction as well as anyone and that allows him to cut across the grain with ease. To play 5 high school football games and rush for just under 800 yards and 9 total TDs you have to be special, and or doing something right. In this case for Moore, it may very well be both because so far he's been as impressive as anyone in the state, let alone as a freshman. Big things lay ahead for Moore if he can continue to play at this level.
