Continue ReadingCyrus is making his presence known at City after transferring from Mount Saint Joseph. The sophomore has been lighting it up over the past few weeks recording 1,023 yards and 10 touchdowns already. Cyrus has the height to stand in the pocket and throw darts and is poised in the pocket. He gets the ball out to his receivers on rhythm giving them time and space to make a secure catch or make a move to gain a few more yards. We knew this prospect was top of his class coming into high school, more performances like his last three will solidify him as one of the leaders of the 2026 class for this season.
Groves has been showing off the speed and elusiveness he introduced to the rest of the state last season. He’s already being used all over the field and making defenses pay. Groves has 5 touchdowns in 3 games with 1 game winning deep ball reception, 2 rushing touchdowns, and 2 KR/PR touchdowns. Groves is picking up right where he left off.
Koger is becoming a familiar name among the SFA offense. The lengthy receiver stands out as SFA searches for its new offensive leaders over the first few weeks of the season. The lengthy DB has demonstrated a threatening catch radius and contested catch ability. So far Kroger has 4 scores and had some big plays in these five games such as a huge deep all catch in their game against Chaminade-Madonna. The junior weapon is picking up right where he left off in the offseason after performing well on the camp circuit.
Romero has emerged as another playmaker for the Knights with Cyrus at the helm. Ison is a flexible speedster; he plays both receiver and running back while also playing return specialist on special teams. At receiver he’s a deep threat on the outside, and in the slot, he has the speed to split the defense after the catch and take it in for six. With Ison producing how he has been makes City’s offensive fire power lethal.
Cheatham has been showing the state he’s more than an electrifying receiver for the greyhounds. Jackson snagged 3 interceptions against Boys Latin and took one in for a pick six. He’s showing that he can cover the deep ball and break on underneath routes fast enough to make a play. Cheatham is still showing new skills as he’s emerging as one of the go-to playmakers in this Gilman program.
