<p>After a slow start, the Trojans scored on an easy out route in the redzone to give the Trojans a 7-0 lead late in the first. Holt struck back, after converting on fourth down, with a rollout TD pass by [player_tooltip player_id='313703' first='Ayden' last='Sullivan'] to even the score at one touchdown a piece just five minutes into the second quarter. Hunter Keene scored his second TD on the ground by executing a beautiful zone read and weaving down the sideline for forty yards and Troy's second score of the season. Holt's defense started slowing Keene down before half with a sack by [player_tooltip player_id='1117647' first='Gabriel' last='Cunningham'] before a false start forced a 3rd & 21. Cunningham would've had a second sack, but a penalty gave Troy-Buchanon another chance at the endzone before a bubble screen was sniffed out. Holt was finding some holes in Troy's zone, but the stingy secondary thwarted any chances Holt had of scoring in a two-minute drill before they ever crossed midfield. Keene made a quick strike outside the numbers and the Trojans were in business with just under forty seconds left in the first half. A few plays later, a botched trick play resulted in a turnover and Holt ran the clock out to end the first half down 7-14.</p>

<p>A penalty called back the opening kickoff, but the home crowd cheered the Trojans on as [player_tooltip player_id='371335' first='Shane' last='Hopmann']'s unofficial touchdown happened to open the second half. A hard hit on a QB keeper couldn't keep Keene back as he returned after sitting out one play to scramble and fire an off script throw to get the Trojans in the redzone midway through the third quarter. The Trojans' offense kept the jet motion and misdirection going all night; Their third rushing touchdown came complete with much of the same as [player_tooltip player_id='371333' first='Ethan' last='Lollar'] ran down the sidelines to give Troy-Buchanan a two-score lead. [player_tooltip player_id='126265' first='Quinn' last='Brown'] helped lead the way for Holt's rushing attack before Sullivan hit an out route to narrow the deficit to 14-21. Another quick scramble and strike by Keene got Troy into Holt's territory as the third quarter ended. Five seconds in to the fourth quarter and Keene ran untouched into the endzone for his third touchdown of the night. Troy-Buchanon's defense stuffed a jet sweep behind the line to give the Trojan offense the ball back in less than ninety seconds. Both offenses quickly punched one in to keep the game close at 35-21, but the Trojan rushing attack was able to keep the train rolling into the final two minutes of the game. A direct snap sneak to the motioning H back on 4<sup>th</sup> and 2 iced the game for the Trojans to give them their first win of the season.</p>
