Week 0 Prime Time Players 2023 Season

Every week during the high school season we highlight some players that had strong games from a performance standpoint. Prep Redzone Arkansas kicks off the season with our week 0 prime-time players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='202575' first='Kane' last='Archer']-Quarterback-Greenwood-2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In a game against state powers, [player_tooltip player_id='202575' first='Kane' last='Archer'] had an impressive outing. Archer was 23 of 30 for 286-yards and 4 touchdowns. However, he was not finished, Archer proceeded to tack on 60 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. He is a prospect to watch this season and a quarterback that plenty of college teams are after. Greenwood is going to be a team to watch out for this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1014077' first='Cameron' last='Quarrels Jr.']-Wide Receiver-Maumelle-2027</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The class of 2027 is shaping up to be a talented one in the Natural State. [player_tooltip player_id='1014077' first='Cameron' last='Quarrels Jr.'] had a strong outing to kick off his high school career this week. The Maumelle wide receiver racked up 203-total yards and found the end zone one time on Friday night. He has impressive speed and is a prospect to keep an eye on as the season progresses.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='968931' first='Jacob' last='Hermosillo']-Quarterback-Hot Springs Lakeside-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most impressive outings of the week came from Hot Springs Lakeside signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='968931' first='Jacob' last='Hermosillo']. Hermosillo is a quarterback that can hurt opposing teams with both his arm and his legs. The Lakeside quarterback rushed for 205-yards on 15 carries and 2 touchdowns. He then proceeded to throw for 307-yards and 3 touchdowns. Hermosillo is setting the stage for a strong season for the Rams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='149580' first='Drake' last='Lindsey']-Quarterback-Fayetteville-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Fayetteville signal caller looks to be in mid-season form to start the season. Lindsey threw for 345 yards and tacked on 5 touchdowns passes against Cabot. He had a strong season in 2022 and he has kicked off the 2023 season in a similar fashion. The future Golden Gopher has the potential to have a strong season this upcoming season for the Bulldogs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Monterrio Elston-Running Back-Little Rock Parkview-2025</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Parkview Patriots have a talented roster returning for the 2023 season. Monterrio Elston is a back that can do damage all over the field for the Patriots. Elston rushed for 80 yards on Friday night. Meanwhile, he tacked on 162 yards receiving and 4 total touchdowns on the night. Elston has the potential to have a breakout season this season and is a player to watch out for on Friday nights this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='320933' first='CJ' last='Brown']-Wide Receiver-Bentonville-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='320933' first='CJ' last='Brown'] is one of the most dangerous players in the state of Arkansas. Brown sliced up the Broken Arrow defense on Friday night. The Bentonville wide receiver hauled in 4 receptions for 160-yards receiving. Brown also accounted for 3 touchdowns on the night. Including a 62-yard touchdown pass. He is setting the stage for a strong season, as the Tigers look to get back to War Memorial Stadium this November.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='424570' first='Trevion' last='Greer']-Athlete-Riverview-2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='424570' first='Trevion' last='Greer'] had an impressive night to kick off the season for Riverview. Greer racked up 89 yards on the ground. He also found the end zone three times on Friday night. Greer does a great job of finding the rushing lane and exploding through the hole and he put that on display on Friday night. Look for an impressive season from the Riverview prospect this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='968927' first='Wyatt' last='Brown']-Athlete-Perryville-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The versatile Perryville prospect opened plenty of eyes on Friday night. Brown did damager on the ground to the tune of 74-yards and 1 touchdown. However, he was also able to put on display his receiving ability. Brown racked up 3 receptions for 88-yards and 1 touchdown. Brown is a prospect to watch out for this season. He is off to a strong start this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='216278' first='Da'Shawn' last='Chairs']-Running Back-Elkins-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Elkins running back is a dangerous player all over the field for the opposing defense to account for on the field. Chairs can line up all over the field for the Elks. On Friday night, Chairs accounted for 134-total yards and found the end zone 3 times. Chairs is looking to continue to open eyes this season and he is off to an excellent start of the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
