There are four talented teams set to face off at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium this upcoming Saturday for the annual Rafferty's Bowl, including three extremely talented teams from within Kentucky. Without any further ado, here's my list of the top returning playmakers to watch in the 2023 Rafferty's Bowl.

At the top of my list of notable returners is [player_tooltip player_id='331733' first='Cutter' last='Boley'], a 6-foot-5, 200-pound quarterback at Lexington Christian Academy. What stands out about Boley is his quick release, arm strength and commanding passing consistency, completing a number of impressive deep passes at the helm of the Eagles' offense last season. Boley also makes a considerable difference on the ground, utilizing his durablity and physicality to blast past defenders in the pocket and make his way into the open field.

I am additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='340071' first='Deuce' last='Bailey'], a 6-foot-1, 170-pound quarterback at Bowling Green High School. What makes Bailey such an efficient player under center is his execution off the snap, composure under pressure, quick release, outstanding arm strength and pin-point accuracy in the air. Bailey additionally proved his speed on the ground, utilizing his movement and durable edge to withstand heavy defensive pressure and make plays for the Purples' offense.

Finishing in the number three spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='373790' first='Montavin' last='Quisenberry'], a 5-foot-9, 160-pound athlete at Boyle County High School. What I like about Quisenberry is his footwork, speed and catching ability, proving himself as an efficient receiving and ground weapon for the Rebels last year. Quisenberry made an impact with his ability to stun defensive backs with his strength, haul in receptions from anywhere on the field, beat the defense on the ground and break tackles.

Another high-level star to watch for is [player_tooltip player_id='381927' first='Parker' last='Chaney'], a 6-foot-0, 180-pound athlete at Lexington Christian Academy. Chaney impresses me with his overall athleticism and versatile edge, showcasing outstanding offensive and defensive success on the field for the Eagles last season. Chaney stands out with his ability to blast past the opposition on the ground and haul in challenging receptions down the stretch. Chaney also makes a difference defensively, using his toughness to disrupt the passing game, haul in interceptions and make stops.

Coming in at number five on my list of returners is [player_tooltip player_id='653474' first='Easton' last='Barlow'], a 6-foot-0, 165-pound wide receiver at Bowling Green High School. In addition to solid size, speed and versatility, what stands out about Barlow is his quick execution off the snap and ability to exert his physicality down the stretch, pushing off defenders to get open for deep passes. Barlow also stood out on the Purples due to his impactfulness on short range throws as he can maneuver the field and break tackles on his way to the endzone.
