Continue ReadingOne of the new hot lineman names to know Jayden Elijah Jayden Elijah 6'8" | 285 lbs | OL Matawan | 2025 State NJ gave us a small glimpse of why he has quickly become a hot name in recruiting circles.
He had a better showing on the defensive side than on the offensive side; making plays as an interior defensive tackle.
He started using his massive frame at 6’4 285 pound frame and had a batted pass at the beginning of the game. In addition had a sack on a nice pass rush.
Matawan as a team didn’t play well, but Elijah played well enough and earned an offer to the University Of Georgia.
Highlights
Smith had a redeeming performance from his opening-day performance at BATB last year. He looks more polished and more accurate.
He had three nice passes that stuck out. One slant route was dropped but that was thrown beautifully. He had a deep pass up the right sideline, to Darius Benjamin Darius Benjamin 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Cedar Creek | 2025 State NJ for a touchdown, and another deep beauty in the middle of the field to Benjamin.
Billy started out the day a little inconsistent with accuracy. But as the game progressed and he settled in he showcased his accuracy, touch, and timing on deep patterns. Billy worked on his game this off-season and paid dividends in the first game.
King is a young player but flashed serious talent. At 5’10 150 pounds, he has a long frame that you like to see from outside corners and fluid movement in and out of his transitions.
One aspect that always intrigues at the defensive back position to not only play multiple positions but as be able to create ball production. King showed both in this game lining up at safety and outside corner and grabbing a nice interception in the endzone.
I’m excited to see King develop more throughout the season.
Cooper looks like a football player, with not only length but also good size. And in that size, I thought he moved well across the field and with the ball in his hands. He can play a little defensive back and linebacker can play downhill and shows solid physicality in the run game.
CJ makes the because as the year progresses, he could become an important player for them down the stretch. Cedar Creek has a copious amount of speed on their team and Mcafee may be the fastest of them all.
He returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and was overthrown in the endzone for a would-be touchdown.
Mcafee’s minimal touches caught my eye and his excellent speed.
