Who are they? Where did these newest offers come from?
Prep Redzone has the details…
Ryan Ghea Ryan Ghea 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Milton | 2025 State GA – TE – Milton
One of the top 2025 TEs across the state, Ghea already has an impressive offer list, and this week he earned a new one from West Virginia. A big target in the passing game with easy Power Five size at 6-foot-5 220-pounds, Ghea is a physical and willing blocker in the run game. He continues to progress as both a blocker on the edge and in the passing game, giving Milton a true weapon on offense. His size and potential are easy to see, and he played well in a week one win over a talented Collins Hill team. He has a chance to improve his numbers as a pass-catcher this year, but his ability to open holes outside of the tackles in the run game is why he’s a coveted prospect in the 2025 class. As good as he already is, he’s only going to get better over these next two seasons at Milton.
Ousmane Kromah Ousmane Kromah 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Lee County | 2025 State GA – RB – Lee County
The No. 1 running back across Georgia in the 2025 class, Kromah is off to a tremendous start to his junior season, scoring multiple touchdowns in a big week one win over the powerful Warner Robins Demons. He already holds offers from some of the nation’s top programs, and a few days ago he earned a new one from the Miami Hurricanes. A physically put-together back with solid size and plenty of muscle, Kromah powered his way into the end-zone all year long, scoring a rushing touchdown in every game but one in 2022. After a big off-season, look for Kromah to have a gigantic junior season due to his 6-foot-1 210-pound frame and ability to out-run defenders with ease. In total, Kromah found the end-zone 22 times last year, most among sophomores, while earningRegion 1-AAAAAA Player of the Year honors. He’s only getting better, and he can add this new Miami offer to an already loaded offer list. Prep Redzone has him ranked as the No. 11 player in Georgia for the 2025 class.
Alex Payne Alex Payne 6'5" | 265 lbs | OL Gainesville | 2025 State GA – OL – Gainesville
A long and physical offensive tackle for the 6A powerhouse Gainesville Red Elephants, Payne is one of the better OT prospects in North Georgia not only for the 2025 class, but across all classifications. Payne has easy to notice size at 6-foot-5 270-pounds with plenty of room on his frame to add more mass and muscle. His length allows him to latch onto defenders, and when that happens, it’s tough to shed his block. He plays with a mean streak and will keep blocking until the whistle in blown. He’s an impact lineman in both the run game and in pass-protection, which has led to a new offer from Boston College. He continues to play better and better and still has two full seasons ahead of him. He’s a big-time player for a big-time program, and more offers are likely on the way.
RJ Boyd – RB – Ware County
One of the more underrated backs in all of South Georgia, the Ware County standout finally reels in his first Power Five offer, and it came this weekend from the Indiana Hoosiers. Boyd, a tough, tackle-breaking back with good balance and burst, helped lead Ware County to an all-important state championship in 2022. He was just a sophomore last year, but still showed the talent that you look for in a D1-caliber prospect. He has some shiftiness to his game, but what he does best is get yards after contact. He was physically ready to play as a sophomore and is bound for a true breakout junior season this fall. If that happens, look for more offers to come his way. He’s a back on the rise not only in South Georgia, but across the state. He rushed for just under 1,000 yards last year and 8 touchdowns, but there’s a chance those numbers will improve in 2023.
