Washington's Defense Plays Perfect

This was the first game on a newly turfed field for Washington and what better way than a shutout win. Washington's defense held Edgewood's offense to under 100 total yards. Washington's special teams had a blocked punt for a TD as well. [player_tooltip player_id='914230' first='Colton' last='Stowers'] helped the offense by throwing a TD and running one in by himself. Washington heads to North Knox for another non-conference showdown.

Heritage Hills Dominants Again

This Heritage Hills team is going to be a tough one to beat. It is hard not to bring up [player_tooltip player_id='322427' first='Braydon' last='Durham'] every week but he deserves the recognition. Braydon had 3 TDs in the first half and ended up with 13 tackles on the night. [player_tooltip player_id='533140' first='Jett' last='Goldsberry'] led the team in rushing yards with 97 yards on just 3 carries and had 2 TDs. [player_tooltip player_id='553032' first='Hunter' last='Meredith'] was another ball carrier with a great game and he had 4 carries for 75 yards. There was not a lot of passing done by the Patriots but [player_tooltip player_id='1178520' first='Tyler' last='Ruxer'] ended up with 2 receptions and 73 yards. 2025 LB Parker Hart ended up with 9 tackles and 2 TFLs on the night. Tell City may have lost but Landon Terry had another great game on the ground with 120 yards on 8 carries and 1 TD. Heritage Hills is on the road against Boonville in Week 3. Tell City is home against undefeated Forest Park in Week 3.

Southridge Shuts Down Boonville

Southridge bounced back from Week 1 with a shutout win against Boonville. Southridge was led by senior RB O'Ryan Curry and his offensive line. Curry had 27 carries, 178 yards, and 3 TDs. Southridge's defense held Boonville to 125 yards of total offense. Southridge stays home for Week 3 against Tecumseh. Boonville has a challenge ahead of them this week against Heritage Hills at home.

North Posey Moves to (2-0) With a Dominating Performance

North Posey and Princeton's game got cut short due to multiple weather delays in the 3rd quarter. North Posey had put the game away by then and dominated for the second straight week. When I talked about North Posey, the names Liam Stone and [player_tooltip player_id='196689' first='Jed' last='Galvin'] resonates. The senior QB Liam Stone went 6/7 146 yards, and 1 TD through the air and had 13 carries, 128 yards, and 2 TDs. Junior RB [player_tooltip player_id='196689' first='Jed' last='Galvin'] had 6 carries, 45 yards, 1 TD, and had 5 catches, 111 yards, and 1 TD. North Posey's defense held Princeton to 20 yards on the ground and just over 100 yards in the air. North Posey is home against South Spencer in Week 3. Princeton will be up for a tall task as they travel to Gibson Southern this week.

Forest Park Stays Perfect in Week 2

Forest Park is led by a great group of RBs. Sophomore RB Jaxon Lueken led the team in rushing with 74 yards on 6 carries and had 1 TD. Junior RB Tyler Fetter had his share of the ball 5 times and had 66 yards. Defensively, Junior LB Bryson Frick led the team in tackles with 9 and flew around to the ball all night. In Week 3, Forest Park travels to Tecumseh looking to stay perfect on the season.

Gibson Southern Picks Up a Win in Illinois

For the second straight week, Gibson Southern was not in Indiana on Friday night. The Titans picked up their first win of the season at Mt. Carmel in Illinois. Senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='301144' first='Tanner' last='Boyd'] had an exceptional game throwing for 168 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and had 16 carries, 64 yards, and 2 TDs. [player_tooltip player_id='178622' first='Sean' last='DeLong'] led the team in rushing with 78 yards on 21 carries. Defensively, Beau Rose and Jack Rose were around the football all night. Beau had 11 tackles while Jack had 10 tackles and 1 TFL. Gibson Southern starts their conference play at home against Princeton in Week 3.

Pike Central Picks Up Their First Win of the Year

Pike Central won their first game under new head coach against Tecumseh on Saturday. The Chargers' offense totaled 450 yards of offense and held Tecumseh's offense under 150. Junior QB Matthew Meadows was player of the game and a candidate for player of the week. He went 10/14 272 yards passing, 3 TDs and carried the ball 6 times for 68 yards and 1 TD. A well deserved victory for the Chargers. Pike Central is home against Mt. Vernon on Friday. Tecumseh is on the road for the third straight week against Southridge.
