The Shadow Ridge offense returns a three-year starter at QB in [player_tooltip player_id='817735' first='Coen' last='Coloma']. Coloma's a productive dual-threat QB that totaled 1200 passing yards, 1300 rushing yards, and 38 total TDs as a junior. He's crafty with the ball in the option game, does a good job of finding running lanes outside the tackles and sticking his foot in the ground to get vertical upfield, and can throw with accuracy to the middle of the field. They'll look to fill the losses of last season's leading rushers- Jaquieze Holland (2023) and [player_tooltip player_id='817724' first='Jon' last='Wilson'] (transfer to Liberty). Senior RB Evan Cannon is a downhill power back that should be in contention to handle more carries out of the backfield. The WR corps lost its leading receivers from last season with Jeremiah Campbell and [player_tooltip player_id='820673' first='Liam' last='Guthrie'] both transferring out of state. Junior OT Jackson King returns to the OL unit bringing length (6'5"/240) and physicality in the run game.

Defense

The defense is led by one of the top 2025 LBs in Nevada- [player_tooltip player_id='820677' first='Diego' last='Madrid']. Madrid's a productive ILB that totaled over 90 tackles, 9 TFLs, and 7 sacks as a sophomore. He's an effective interior blitzer that can get downhill and shoot through gaps, track down ball-carriers in space, and cover over the middle of the field. Fellow senior LB Keau Hadley is another productive defender that posted 93 tackles, 10 TFLs, and 4 sacks last season. He plays fast and physical from wherever he lines up and works to the football with sideline-to-sideline speed- he's added several D-II/D-III offers this offseason. Senior DL Enius Young is a disruptive front-seven defender that attacks the backfield with power and leverage. Senior S Kela Cox is a talent in the secondary that can produce turnovers in deep zone and covers the middle of the field extremely well. Jonah Ruiz (S) and Tanner McDonald (CB) are seniors to watch in the secondary.
