Rigby still holds the top spot via the ranking matrix due to their tough schedule to start out the season but with players like [player_tooltip player_id='938952' first='Luke' last='Flowers'] who still is one of the most elite players in the state its not hard to see why the Trojans still hold the top spot. Defensively Rigby has some stars as well in [player_tooltip player_id='484974' first='Drew' last='Caldwell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='540332' first='Reggie' last='Groom']. With size up front like [player_tooltip player_id='484673' first='Feki' last='Pouha'] it wont take Rigby long to right the ship and contend.

Coming in at number 3 in the state is a 3A program in Sugar Salem that has been hard to stop after starting the season 2-0 with two shutouts to start the season and with players like [player_tooltip player_id='725747' first='Carson' last='Harris'], [player_tooltip player_id='725753' first='Ryan' last='Bingham'] and Caden Dalling its not hard to see why they are so highly ranked. The Digger train is in full force with a crushing run game and devastatingly physical defense look for Sugar Salem to maintain their spot in the top 5 for a majority of the season.

A team that doesnt get as much publicity as many of the others listed comes in at number 7 in West Side who started their season off with a big win over Firth. [player_tooltip player_id='725744' first='Parker' last='Moser'] and company really put a beat down on first as they walked away with the win 48-6. Aaron McDaniel leads the way for West Side on defense as the all state junior is a human wrecking ball and makes it hard on opposing offenses.
